It's a 5 speed manual and has been modified to be a really fun track car with everything you would need to race, show, or just to mess around with this summer. The interior is in very good condition. It's super fun to drive, very reliable and starts and runs perfect every time. It's a donut machine! I just started using it as my summer daily driver. Sound system sounds very good. The check engine light comes and goes because of the cats but it's not an issue, it's been driven like this for 2 years with no problem. It has very little rust you can't really notice unless you get low and look for it. The paint has some scratches here and there but nothing major. There is a dent in the passenger side front quarter panel next to the light but no paint damage. The soft top rear window has cracks in it but it does not leak when it rains. The exhaust tip is broken off at the muffler but isn't really an issue. There's a lot of good mods in this car that make it perform the best it could. I'm not in any hurry to sell, only selling it because I want something different. The title is clean, I prefer cash and will NOT ship anywhere. Mazda2 production fires up in Mexico
Fri, 24 Oct 2014Mazda has officially kicked off production of the next-generation Mazda2 at the company's new factory in Salamanca, Mexico. Alongside the auto assembly plant, operations have also commenced at the facility's engine machining factory.
"With the start of production of the all-new Mazda2, operations underway at the engine machining plant, and an increase in our annual production capacity, we now have an even stronger production framework capable of supplying global markets with Skyactiv products of the same high quality level as those made in Japan," Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operation's President Keishi Egawa said in a statement. "At the same time, we are pleased to be able to make a contribution to Mexico's further economic growth."
MMVO joins Mazda's Hofu Plant in Japan and the Auto Alliance factory in Thailand, which commenced Mazda2 production in July and September, respectively.
Edmunds ranks the best used cars for 2013
Sun, 15 Sep 2013When people ask us what car we would recommend for them, it's usually not easy to answer. To make a useful recommendation we must consider which of the numerous vehicle segments fits their needs best, and then choose one of the many vehicles offered in each segment. For some people, new cars don't meet their expectations of value, because they lose so much of it the moment they are purchased and driven off the dealer lot. For them, there's always the used-car market, where great deals can be found, but cars' histories of reliability and maintenance records - and perhaps that Certified Pre-Owned warranty - become ever-important factors playing into purchase choice.
To help out, Edmunds has done us the favor of assembling a list of the best used vehicles money can buy, covering model years 2006-2011, according to what it considers the most important criteria when shopping for used autos: reliability, safety, value and availability. That means unreliable, unsafe, super-expensive or limited-edition models don't appear on the list, but instead cars from each segment that are more likely to satisfy the general population.
There are some real goodies on the list, including but not limited to vehicles such as the capable Honda Fit, the cultish Honda Accord coupe (which can be had with a 240-horsepower V6 and a six-speed manual transmission some years), and the powerful Chevrolet Corvette. While Edmunds' choice of the Volvo C70 for best used convertible baffled us at first (not that it's a bad car), it redeemed itself by stating that the Mazda MX-5 still is an unofficial top choice if you don't require more than two seats.
