This car was put together by my uncle in the early 2000's and pretty much never driven around. He truly loved this car and wanted it to be perfect before he took it out, but a few years ago he was diagnosed with cancer and passed away leaving me his car.

I absolutely hate to even make this listing, but my family isn't rich; we live in a condo and we do not have a garage to store it in, otherwise I would keep it and work on it every now and then. It is currently being stored at a family friend's house out in Alpine and I feel like I have over staid my welcome there. I looked into storing the car at a storage location down the street from my house, but they want around $150 per month and there is no way I can afford that.

This car does need a lot of work to make it look nice and I simply cannot afford to do it myself, so I am left to watch it collect dust.

This car IS indeed drivable, I had it registered at one point and I would take it out to Coronado every now and then with no problems at all. It gets a lot of attention, especially from the other Miata drivers.

I assure you, this car will pass smog, I have documentation of it passing back in 2011 and no modifications have been added since then.

This car was put together using 2 Miatas. One had damage in the front and the other was damage in the back, so he cut them up and put them together to make 1 really long Mazda that will carry 4 people!

Originally the car had a single drive shaft, but due to its length, it would cause massive vibrations, so I had a custom 2 peace drive shaft made for it wich instantly solved the problem. I have not gone over 80MPH, but I know that up to that point, it works just fine.

Here are two videos of the car:

Please go to YouTube and search for 1993 Mazda Miata Custom 4 Seater

Remember... this is a drivable car... and it does not have a lot of missing parts. The headlamp assembly is in the trunk and it has a strong battery, new spark plugs and new plug wires.

Buyer will be responsible for the transportation of vehicle.

Thanks for looking.

Mazda considering a 'hyper' Mazda3 with the 250-hp 2.5-liter turbo four

    Mon, Apr 15 2019

Mazda boss Akira Marumoto said last year there'd be no Mazdaspeed version of the new Mazda3 because the hot hatch segment wasn't a priority for the carmaker. Then Mazda engineer Dave Coleman told Road & Track that without "an engine on the shelf that would fit properly," an MPS variant made no sense. The first reader comment on our Coleman post read, "Engine — you have it; cue up the 2.5T." Mazda might have been listening. Program manager Kota Beppu told Autocar he'd like a "hyper" Mazda3, the outlet figuring the 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbo would make the most sense for power. Autocar wrote "the project had not been officially signed off, [but] insiders suggest that is a formality." When Car and Driver queried Mazda and its sources about the report, the magazine realized "the company is seriously considering a high-performance hot hatch." What's more, "Drew Cary, senior manager for brand communications, said, 'We encourage people to ask for it, though. Our planners and executives are watching and listening to fans.'" The turbocharged 2.5-liter SkyActiv-G four-cylinder — which doesn't sell in Europe — makes 250 hp on premium gasoline and 310 pound-feet of torque in the Mazda6, CX-5 and CX-9. A next-generation SkyActiv-G is predicted on the way next year, bringing more boost and power. Even as is, we're talking a chunky lump of power to send to the front wheels, and Beppu mentioned torque steer. The new Mazda3's all-wheel drive would alleviate that bugbear. Unlike the raw, fast-twitch reflexes of the last Mazdaspeed3 from 2013, Beppu says a new model "needs to be responsible and friendly ... more friendly than a Golf GTI." And, "It should be fast." The polished looks and interior address the necessary perceptions. CD's done the math on the current 2.5-liter and predicts a five-second sprint to 60 miles per hour, which is Volkswagen Golf R and Honda Civic Type R territory, so GTI comparisons could be a case of aiming low. Imagine a 300-hp engine with a touch more torque and a six-speed manual ... If Mazda follows through with such a product, it could take two years to get the green light. However, we're told that Mazda's Los Angeles research and development center has already built a proof-of-concept to encourage and anticipate that green light.

Mazda 16X rotary engine two years away, will arrive in all-new model

    Fri, 16 Aug 2013

We last reported on Mazda's next-generation rotary engine project in June of 2012 when the automaker built its last Renesis-powered RX-8, but rumors of this new engine's development had been around way before that final car left the production line in Japan, last year.
We now have enthusiastic confirmation that this next-gen rotary engine is really and truly going forward. It is still referred to as 16X and has several priorities. First is to lower fuel consumption compared to the RX-8's engine, while still making gains in terms of performance. The second is to reduce the burning of oil that was happening at the highest revs. And the third and final priority, and perhaps most key for enthusiasts, is to give the powertrain a big torque upgrade.
What we were told by a Mazda USA insider (while we are all here together at the festivities in Monterey) is that the first application of the new 16X engine will be happening in two years' time in an as yet undisclosed new model. Oh, the mind races to our eternal Mazda wish list...

2018 Mazda MX-5 Miata and MX-5 Miata RF pricing announced

    Thu, Feb 8 2018

At Chicago, Mazda has announced official 2018 pricing for the MX-5 Miata, both soft-top and RF. The trick-roofed RF version, or Retractable Fastback, has a coupe-like power hardtop that opens up into a targa. It's only natural that there are MX-5 models on display at the Chicago Auto Show, as 29 years earlier the original Miata was unveiled there. All ND generation cars sold in the U.S. have the 155-horsepower Skyactiv-G engine with a choice of six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. While the canvas-topped 2018 MX-5 starts from $25,295 as a manual Sport, the RF bypasses the Sport spec and starts directly from the Club, which for the RF means a $31,910 starting price, or $355 more than for 2017; the soft-top 2018 Club costs $29,555 in comparison, or a measly $120 hike. The manual Club has a limited slip differential, a front strut brace and Bilstein suspension. Similarly to the soft-top car, the RF also gets a Brembo/BBS brake/wheel/appearance package that hikes the price to $35,680 — and that is only available with manual transmission. That package costs $32,925 for the soft-top, which has also a $700 Recaro sport seating option for the aforementioned Brembo/BBS package, but that is unavailable for the RF. Grand Touring comes with automatic climate control, heated leather seats and adaptive lighting, at a price of $30,195 for the soft top and $32,750 for the RF. Add new-for-2018 Nappa leather for the Grand Touring for $300. At launch in the 2017 model year, the RF Grand Touring was priced $3,000 dearer than a comparable soft-top version, but that difference has now shrunk by $500.
