Mazda 626 Lx 1997 Low Miles!!!! on 2040-cars
Hagerstown, Maryland, United States
THE CAR HAS BEEN IN STORAGE FOR A YEAR, MY HUSBAND TOOK IT OUT OF STORAGE TO RESTORE IT IN MAY, HE ADDED A NEW CLUTCH AND THAT WAS IT BECAUSE HE HAD A MAJOR STROKE, I CANT DRIVE A MANUAL CAR, AND MY HUSBAND WILL NOT RECOVER ENOUGH TO EVER DRIVE AGAIN. THE INSIDE HEADLINER IS FALLING DOWN, THERE IS A TINY HOLE IN SEAT, THE OUTSIDE OF CAR HAS SCRATCHES AND DINGS MARKS, I HOPE THE PICTURES ARE CLEAR ENOUGH, THE CAR RUNS SOUND, THE ENGINE IS GOOD AND THE MILES ARE LOW, SOME COSMETIC WORK AND IT WOULD BE GORGEOUS. THE CAR WAS IN FLORIDA (DAYTONA) FOR YEARS THEN MOVED UP TO MARYLAND WHERE WE LIVE. ORIGINAL BOUGHT IN MARYLAND. MY NEIGHBOR STARTS THE CAR AND HAS RUN IT TO KEEP IT GOING. IF YOU NEED THE CAR SHIPPED I WILL DO WHAT I CAN TO HELP GET THE CAR WHERE IT NEEDS TO BE PICKED UP. THE CAR HAS GOOD VALUE EVEN IN FAIR CONDITION, THE CAR IS IN GOOD CONDITION AS FAR AS HOW IT RUNS BUT FAIR COSMETICALLY.

Mazda spiders return, 42k Mazda6 sedans recalled for webby fuel tanks
Sat, 05 Apr 2014It seems that Yellow Sac spiders really, really love Mazda. Three years after Mazda recalled 52,000 Mazda6 sedans over spider webs obstructing the evaporative canister vent lines of 2009 and 2010 Mazda6 models, another recall has been issued for 42,000 more of the models built between 2010 and 2012 and equipped with the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine.
According to the automaker, there have been nine confirmed sightings of spiders in vent lines since the original recall. It seems that covers were applied at the factory to keep the arachnids from entering, but it hasn't quite exterminated the problem. A reflash of the ECU is required that "[changes] the logic behind how the car purges the charcoal canister during normal operation," says Jeremy Barnes, Director, Public Relations & Brand Experience at Mazda North American Operations.
So far, Mazda has not recorded any fires, accidents or injuries due to this tangled mess of webs. Recall notices will be mailed out to owners later this month. Scroll down below for the statement from Mazda, along with the official recall notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Mazda planning 'aggressive' dealer shakeup
Tue, 17 Dec 2013Mazda has set an ambitious goal of selling 400,000 units by the end of the 2015 Japanese fiscal year in March 2016, and to do that, it's going to need to take some aggressive action. That means that underperforming members of its 637-showroom strong dealer network are about to get the axe.
The purge won't just be limited to dealers that aren't performing, though. Mazda will seek to consolidate poorly located dealers and build new showrooms in better locations. It still isn't clear how many dealers are being targeted or at what point Mazda would end its cull.
This consolidation of dealers is all part of a one-two punch for the Japanese brand, that will also see increased marketing efforts in 35 key areas. Of those markets, Mazda is placing a special emphasis on New York and LA, although there's not much mention of what other regions are being looked at.
Mazda begins building Mazda3 in Mexico for US
Tue, 07 Jan 2014With fluctuations in international currencies and rising shipping costs to take into account, foreign automakers can't get away with building cars overseas and selling them in North America as easily as they used to. Particularly with inexpensive mainstream models. And given the benefits of cheaper labor and free trade under NAFTA, many have opted to assemble their cars for the North American market in Mexico. That's why the likes of Toyota, Mercedes and BMW have all opened plants in Mexico. And now Mazda has followed suit.
Ground was initially broken for Mazda de Mexico Vehicle Operations at Salamanca in the state of Gunajuato back in 2011, but production has just now gotten under way. The first vehicle to roll off the line? A Mazda3 sedan destined for the United States. Soon, the plant will begin production of the next Mazda2 as well, selling it alongside its larger counterpart across the Americas and in Europe as production expands to 230,000 units annually.
