For sale is our Automotive Legends Porsche 550 Spyder replica. This was a check all the boxes 2005 build by Will Cashen's "Best in the Business" Automotive Legends in Malibu, California. A documented build sheet in excess of  $56,000 including the  aluminum cockpit and wheel wells, Bilstein coil over rear shocks, external oil cooler with stainless braided lines and more. We have put a very low 1,400 miles on it and stored it inside whilst not in use. Those who know, understand that, Will Cashen and Russ Rodriguez set the standard for the best built and finished Spyder replicas in the industry.

As you will see in the photos the car is super clean and fully appointed. The beautiful exterior is laid over the very desirable tube frame chassis. It has the uprated engine from CB Performance Racing Products in Farmersville, CA with twin Webers and the optional four wheel disc brakes.  The $6,950 Aluminum Interior and wheel well option gives the car an authentic look. The Nardi wood rimmed steering wheel, functional front brake ducts, five bolt painted wheels mounted with Hoosier Speedster race tires and headrest fairing all sell the true sporting nature of this car. Along with the car you will get the removable 3-point roll bar and a spare set of wheels with Dunlop street tires and tonneau cover.

You could be driving a 550 today, or you could buy a lesser car, and wait 6+ months for it to be built.

Please feel free to call with your questions or to request more pictures. We can also take more detailed pictures at your request.

Maserati to celebrate 100th anniversary at Monterey Motorsports Reunion

Sun, 15 Dec 2013

The Pebble Beach weekend is without a doubt one of the preeminent classic car gatherings on the calendar. But while most of the events that make up the weekend are essentially static displays, our favorite may be the Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. That's where you can actually see classic racing cars doing what they were made for in the first place. And every year, organizers of the event select a featured marque.
Last year it was the Chevrolet Corvette. The year before it was Shelby, preceded by Jaguar the year before that. But next year, the classic racing event will feature Maserati, which will be celebrating its 100th anniversary. And to make the occasion extra special for the Modenese marque, next year also marks the 60th anniversary of the most celebrated racing cars ever made by Maserati (or any other constructor, for that matter): the Maserati 250F (No. 4 above) famously piloted by the likes of Fangio and Moss in 1954.
Fittingly, the Trident marque got its start in racing back in 1914 with the debut of the Tipo 26 that put Maserati on the map with a debut victory in the 1926 Targa Florio. Although you don't much see it competing at top levels these days, Maserati went on to win the Indianapolis 500, the Formula One World Championship and, more recently, the FIA GT1 World Championship.

2013 Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale gets its groove, seats back

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

The Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale was exclusively a two-seater, but here in Geneva, the big Italian coupe gets its rear thrones back. We don't know if the addition of rear passenger space will help improve sales of this special trim of the aging GT, but it's at the very least an excuse for Maserati to shine a few lights on its gorgeous two-door.
Under that rakish carbon fiber bonnet is the same Ferrari-sourced 4.7-liter V8 we've loved for years now, tuned to 460 horsepower in this application and mated to Maserati's MC Race Shift six-speed automatic transmission. Other updates for the MC Stradale include new 20-inch alloy wheels and a smattering of new materials inside the cabin.
Yes, it feels like we write about some version of the GranTurismo every time we attend the Geneva Motor Show, but this car still tickles our fancy each and every time. Scroll down for the press blast and check out the four-seater for yourself in the high-resolution gallery.
