1996 Mitsubishi 3000gt Spyder Vr-4 Convertible 2-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Ludlow, Massachusetts, United States
I bought this car in May of 2013 in Michigan. I drove it home from Michigan to Massachusetts. I would drive this car anywhere without any worries. Since then I've only put a couple hundred miles on it. I never have time to drive it because I work in a tough neighborhood and don't want the car to get damaged. It drives like a new car with only 23k miles on it. This car has been babied and everything works as it should. The car is completely stock except for a k&n air filter kit. The car has received a painted valve cover, performance plugs and wires, clarion stereo, custom speaker box that fits inplace of the back seat, with seat removed. I am the third owner. This vehicle has never seen rain, snow, or any weather except for sunshine, garaged its whole life. ( as the previous owner told me and I've garaged it for the last year) The only thing wrong with the car is a few minor scratches and a small burn mark on the back seat( the guy that put in the speakers in nicked it with a soldering iron. Car is in showroom condition. Come see it if you would like before bidding. Located in Ludlow MA. This car is very rare. A total of 1034 Mitsubishi spyders were produced in 1995 - 1996. Of these only 604 were vr4 spyders and of that 520 were produced in 1995 and 84 were produced in 1996. To break it down even further of the 84 produced in 1996 38 were red. So this car is 1 of 38 ever made. Check it out here http://frankpearson.com/spyder/index.html Please email with any questions. Starting price is the same as the mileage today 23,150 |

Alfa Romeo 8C, Maserati Quattroporte and Granturismo models recalled over rust fears
Mon, 20 May 2013The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced Maserati and Alfa Romeo are recalling certain Quattroporte, Granturismo and 8C models over potentially faulty tie rod ends. According to NHTSA, 2005-2008 Quattroporte, 2008 Granturismo and 2008 8C units may have been assembled with tie rod ends that have insufficient corrosion protection. As such, the components may rust, weaken and potentially fail. If that happens, the driver could lose control of the vehicle and cause an accident.
Maserati and Alfa Romeo will contact owners and replace the tie rod end assemblies once the recall gets underway in June. All told, 7,438 vehicles are impacted by the recall. You can read the full NHTSA notice below for more information.
2015 Maserati Quattroporte gets the lightest possible updates
Wed, 19 Nov 2014A week after its debut on the interwebs, Maserati has trotted out its freshened Quattroporte range at the LA Auto Show, giving us our first in-person look at the changes to the top-of-the-line GTS trim.
Maserati has tweaked the headlights across the range, while the GTS gains new body-color trim pieces on the lower bodywork. Red badging on the wheelcaps and and a freshened trident badge are some of the more obvious changes, while new lower bodywork is matched to the main exterior color. While these tweaks are nice, we aren't totally sure they deliver on the "sportier and aggressive appearance" that the Italian company is aiming for in model year 2015.
What do you think? Could Maserati have stood to go further for the 2015 Quattroporte, or is this sort of super-light freshening just what the doctor ordered? Let us know what you think in Comments.
1967 Maserati Ghibli puts the grand in grand tourer
Mon, 18 Aug 2014Motor Tend technical director Frank Markus owns a 1967 Maserati Ghibli, bought back in the early 2000s when "they could be had for Camry money" - now Hagerty values them anywhere from $63,000 to $107,000. The grand tourer designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro outsold the more powerful and less expensive Ferrari 365 Daytona, and the more powerful and more expensive Lamborghini Miura.
Carlos Lago, host of the magazine's Ignition video series, figures it's because of the Ghibli's long-haul comfort and the tractability of its 4.7-liter V8 with 330-horsepower and 330 pound-feet accessed with a five-speed manual, even though he cites the powertrain and suspension as being behind the times.
There's no arguing about the Ghibli's sound, though. You can get several ears-full of it, as well as Lagos' and Markus' thoughts on the car, in the video above.
