1951 Mgtd Completely Restored And Used Very Little on 2040-cars

This 1951 MGTD was professionally restored throughout in approximately 1998-1999 and remained in the family of the restorer until they sold it to me in 2011.  Since restoration the car has seen only 948 miles and has continuously been garaged and covered.  When I purchased the seller's agent supplied the following information:

- More than $10,000 (in 1998 dollars) was spent, largely at Moss Motors on new parts, which would roughly translate to over $15,000 today.

- some of the more expensive items include:

  * complete leather seating upholstery ($819 ((about $2300 today)))

  * full carpet

  * stainless steel exhaust

  * labor & parts for complete rebuild of Jaeger gauges

  * new vehicle wiring harness

  * convertible top cover

  * convertible side curtains and trim

  * convertible tonneau cover

  * windshield and trim mounts

  * MG shell

  * brass door hinge set

  * body rubber kit

  * new Sears Guardsman SCR II tires all around.

This vehicle is pristine and has not got a rusty bolt on her.  If you find yourself inclined to work on her in some fashion you will find it is like working on a new car that has just come from the factory.  The previous owner/restorer was a member of the New England "T" Register, Ltd and his member number is written on the plaque mounted on the glove box.  As well this car sports a luggage rack, wing windows, sun shade , and wonderful badges to make the show complete. If you are looking for an authentic MGTD this is one you will not want to pass up.

The sale includes a custom fit car cover as well as an inflatable plastic bubble to store her in if you should want it.
