This is a beautifully restored 1973 MGB. Within the previous 8 years, it underwent a total restoration which included a Chevrolet 2.8L V6 5 speed conversion (approximate mileage of 80,xxx), bare metal respray, (Jaguar green), performance 4 barrel Edelbrock carbs, ignition wires, distributor cap and rotor, hydraulic clutch, clutch disc, pressure plate, water pump, alternator, valve cover, flex fan, radiator (and hoses), fan belt, all filters, performance exhaust, motor mounts, alternator and thermostat, new convertible top, all new leather interior and carpeting (Moss Motors). I’m sure the list is not complete as the previous owner was very fastidious. I purchased the car approximately 3 years ago and have put on less than 600 miles. During my ownership, the following work was done by a mechanic that specializes in MGs: Full tune up ($653.97) which included oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, flush cooling system, adjustment of carbs, alternator belt replaced. The hydraulic clutch system was flushed and a new clutch master cylinder was replaced ($241.50).

Starts and runs flawlessly. Transmission shifts crisply and without any issues at all. The overdrive is a pleasure on the highway or when cruising above 45 mph. It pulls very strong throughout all of the gears and has a lot of torque. It reminds me of a Triumph TR6 which I owned previously. No body rust visible, including the undercarriage. Always garaged following restoration. Suspension is tight, brakes are solid and it has never overheated during my ownership. Brand new Biscuit leather interior from Moss Motors. New top and boot cover. Cosmetically, the car presents very well. Chrome is good and all of the rubber trim is still very presentable. No sun visors. All gauges work including the instrument lights. To the best of my knowledge, the only item not working is the windshield washer motor. It never concerned me so I never had it repaired. Also, the glove box hinge does not work so I applied double sided tape to keep the glove box closed. Again, I have no need to use the glove box so I never had it repaired. Oil pressure is perfect. I am not a mechanic but the car has been serviced by a local mechanic who specializes in MGs. The car is over 40 years old so perhaps there is a mechanical issue that I’m not aware of, however, if that’s the case, it has not affected the way the car drives and handles.
