As you probably already know, this is by far the best performing car on the road... seemingly without limits. I've taken meticulous care of this show condition car. No expense was ever spared. It will always be the best looking and best sounding car anywhere around you and is a total blast to drive. It's been upgraded with a Larini Clubsport exhaust for added horsepower and a great sound. My theory is, when I drive this car I want to be completely immersed in the experience... and the Larini definitely helps to complete that. Some of the other driving experience additions include the micro rear view mirror, ice cold AC, new oil cooler, oversized battery, weighted shift ball (5lbs if I remember correctly and completely changes the feel when shifting). Windows professionally tinted.

I also professionally added the Gut Sportwing 2. The wing is very expensive and I only know of one other Elise that has added it the "right way". I had all the work done by a Lotus authorized facility who sanded the Gut logo off and then color-matched the spoiler from the doors back for a perfectly seamless fit.  I spent well over 5k achieving the look after it was all done.

I have tons of extras with the car such as the soft-top, hard-top, hard-top nylon protective case, full car cover, complete shop-book and many many extra parts like new oil filters, cup holder and extras. This car is the funnest car to work on yourself for oil changes and such.

It's been the most reliable car I've ever owned. Lotus uses Toyota "proven" parts that we as owners can always get our hands on without special order. Smartest decision Lotus ever made. (Right now the ABS light is coming on which means it's time to drill the dust out of the brake disks... I'll try to find time to do that before the sale... it's easy).

Also included is the color-matched toy car version of the lotus. I had that painted when I had the spoiler work done. Doors and trunk open to show the engine. It's perfect for your office desk.

Check out the pictures below and good luck bidding on this awesome top quality edition of the best car ever made.

Lotus names Jean-Marc Gales as new CEO

Sun, 04 May 2014

It's been about two years since DRB-Hicom took over Proton, and through it Lotus. One of its first courses of action was to fire the existing CEO, Dany Bahar, and proceed to scrap most if not all of his (arguably over-) ambitious plans. In his place they put one of their own - Aslam Farikullah - as Chief Operation Officer, but now the Malaysian-owned British automaker has attracted an industry heavyweight to lead it into the future.
That heavyweight is Jean-Marc Gales. The British- and German-educated Luxembourgian has spent the past couple of years running the European Association of Automotive Suppliers (CLEPA), but may be better known for his previous posting as CEO of PSA Peugeot Citroën between 2009 and 2012, during which time he introduced the Citroën DS line, amongst others, and increased the French automaker's sales. Before PSA he worked for Daimler, General Motors and Volkswagen.
As the new Chief Executive Officer of Group Lotus, Gales will face the difficult task of growing a business based on three models - the Elise, Exige and Evora - that date back to 1996, 2000 and 2009, respectively. Whether he'll push for new models like his predecessor did remains to be seen, but he'd be wise to learn from Bahar's mistakes and avoid overextending what has always been a relatively small automaker.

Lotus Evora S IPS automatic transmission option arrives in October [w/video]

Sat, 28 Jul 2012

The Lotus Evora S IPS that the company showed drifting all around its test track earlier this year will be available in October, says Car and Driver. The kinder, gentler Lotus is fitted with the six-speed Intelligent Precision Shift transmission, an Aisin unit swiped from the Toyota Camry and retuned with Lotus electronics and actuators.
There are two 'regular' modes and two 'sport' modes on the IPS gearbox. The former include a traditional hands-off automatic and an auto mode with shifts handled by wheel-mounted paddles. The latter are a sport automatic setting that sharpens the car's responses and a manual sport mode for total driver control. The Evora S IPS hits showrooms in October. For now, you can take a look at Lotus' test driver giving it the beans in the video below.

Lotus announces race-ready Exige V6 Cup and Cup R

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

Lotus has pulled off the wraps on two new versions of the Exige: the V6 Cup and the V6 Cup R. Based on the Exige S, the V6 Cup is built to be a dual-purpose street and track machine. The 0-60 dash should take just under 3.8 seconds thanks to a full 345 horsepower from a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine. Weighing in at 2,380 pounds, the V6 Cup should be an absolute riot to drive, and with a full FIA-approved roll cage, fire extinguisher and six-point race harnesses on board, it's plenty safe, too. Two-way adjustable dampers are standard, as are AP Racing four-piston calipers on all four corners. More importantly, drivers can expect to find the Lotus Dynamic Performance Management system in the cockpit, complete with Touring, Sport and DPM Off modes.
The V6 Cup R, meanwhile, is both lighter and offers more horsepower than the standard V6 Cup. The same blown V6 dishes out 366 horsepower in R trim, and the whole contraption tips the scales at 2,292 pounds. Of course, the same spate of race hardware is stock, minus the DPM system. A lightweight battery, track-spec tow loops and quick-release engine cover help separate the Cup R from its more civil sibling, as do performance brake pads and better oil and water cooling systems.
Check out the brief press release below for more information. Both of the new models are headed for a debut at the 2013 Autosport International Show.
