FLORIDA CAR!!! ONE YEAR ONLY COLOR!!! GARAGE KEPT AND METICUOUSLY MAINTAINED!!!

1998 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series

NON SMOKER

96K ORIGINAL MILES

Up for auction is the Florida gem, elderly owned and always maintained... Car has been babied when driven and when it wasn't in use it would be parked in the garage... This is a rare color combo and its a one year only color, this was only available on the Signature and Touring series Town Car.  Car is charcoal blue metallic clearcoat and it looks great, paint is deep and rich in color and very nice and glossy.  The interior of the car is light graphite and it is also in excellent shape.  minor wear to the drivers seat as you can see in the pictures but just wear and tear no rips at all in drivers seat...  Rest of the seats are in excellent shape with the back seats that look like no one ever sat in them...  there are no cracks in the dash at all, the headliner and vanity mirrors are in superb condition and are free from any defects.  The carpets are also in excellent shape and are free from any stains or odors.  Since this is a non smokers vehicle there are NO foul odors of any kind... I will throw in the factory mats but they are not as clean as the carpets...  ALL windows work except passenger side rear, Its also equipped with the JBL premium audio system, amfm cassette with cd changer which is in the trunk and yes it works, its 10 disc and its from factory.

Now as far as maintenance... YES THIS CAR HAS BEEN MAINTAINED!!!

First, the intake manifold along with both upper and lower gaskets have been replaced at 88,543 miles
New serpentine belt, new ac evaporator, dryer, and orifice tube was all replaced at 92,847 miles

8 new ignition coils, 8 motorcraft platinum plugs, motorcraft fuel filter, motorcraft fuel pump and oil change done at 96,440 miles

Tires are like new.. I would say the ones in the front are 85% to 90% and the rears are about 75% to 80% tread life left...

This car runs and drives as good as it did when it was new, car has absolutely no leaks of any kind!! NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS NO STORIES

Forgot the mileage when it was done but car is no longer on air suspension, suspension has been converted to springs so NO MORE AIR RIDE HEADACHES!!

Trust me folks, THIS IS THE ONE YOU CANT AFFORD TO MISS... Where else can you find a super clean Town Car like this especially as well maintained as this one, ONLY HERE!!!

BUY IT NOW PRICE IS $3200 and that's the best value priced one on EBAY... and especially since this car was maintained properly all it needs is a new owner that's it...

Car also comes with 2 sets of keys, and 2 key fobs for the keyless entry...

*please note: Center console needs to be recovered, very common issue since everyone rests there elbow on it*

I will ship the car out of state of course keep in mind, BUYER will be responsible for any and all shipping charges

I welcome any inspections of this vehicle (prior to bidding or auction end)

Mulally wanted to kill Lincoln as late as last year, Fields vows to turn it around

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

Lincoln fans might want to give incoming Ford CEO Mark Fields a pat on the back for having a hand in saving the brand from the chopping block last year. He's among the people spearheading the rejuvenation of the division away from its stodgy image to appeal to younger customers.
According to two unnamed sources speaking to Bloomberg, CEO Alan Mulally was ready to kill Lincoln last year. Following the slow production ramp-up of the MKZ combined a with a costly ad campaign, Mulally was frustrated and openly suggested dropping the brand. However, Fields and Jim Farley, Ford's marketing boss, convinced the CEO that the brand was worth saving. They also created a plan to prevent similar problems for new models in the future.
It seems that one part of the strategy may involve waiting until new models are at dealers before starting a big ad campaign for them. Lincoln global director, Matt VanDyke, recently told Autoblog that the division is holding off on a full marketing push behind the new MKC crossover to prevent the supply problems that plagued the MKZ last year. Its big offensive begins in the fall when the CUVs are at all of the dealers and consumers are at home watching more TV. VanDyke also told Bloomberg that Fields, Farley and Joe Hinrichs, Ford president of the Americas, have more direct oversight over new product launches now.

2015 Lincoln MKC aims to rejuvenate the brand... again

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

Ford is slowly but surely attempting to revitalize the Lincoln brand, with the new MKZ sedan pointing the way forward for the Blue Oval's struggling luxury division. Here at the LA Auto Show, Lincoln is showing the next new product that aims to give the brand new life, the 2015 MKC crossover.
The MKC is based on the trusty Ford Escape, but this is far more than just a rebadge job. Lincoln has used completely new sheetmetal here, with the brand's familiar split-wing grille front and center, and a classy, wraparound tailgate with super slim taillamps that span the width of the hatchback. It's one of the better applications of Lincoln's new design language we've seen thus far, and the end result is a taut-looking crossover that is at the same time both modern and luxurious-looking.
Further differentiating itself from the Escape, the MKC packs an all-new 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, good for 275 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. (On the base end, Ford's 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 240 hp and 270 lb-ft is available.) The MKC also uses a new Continuously Controlled Damping adaptive suspension, and is available with both front- and all-wheel drive.

Ex-GM VP LaNeve takes over Lincoln ad agency

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

Those of you that caught yesterday's op-ed about Lincoln will have heard already, but Mark LaNeve has taken the helm at Team Detroit. Once the North American vice president of sales, service and marketing for General Motors, LaNeve will now head up the agency that handles all of Ford advertising. LaNeve will also run the account for Lincoln. While at GM from 2001 to 2009, the exec oversaw ad campaigns like Cadillac's Breakthrough and sales initiatives like "Employee Pricing for Everyone."
He left in 2009 to join Allstate as chief marketing officer, oversaw the creation of the Mayhem ad spots and was moved into the role of VP of agency operations overseeing Allstate's 10,000 agents. He resigned from the insurer in February 2012 for personal reasons and joined Team Detroit in August 2012 as chief operating officer, in charge of satellite offices in New York and internationally. He replaces ex-CEO Cameron McNaughton, and will continue to hold the title of COO.
Lincoln is trying to get its 2013 back to rights after putting big dollar commercials for the 2013 MKZ on television then having production glitches preventing cars from getting to dealerships. With rumors of a relaunch in the works, it's no surprise LaNeve has been given the reins - and from here it looks like the brand is desperate for the kind of magic he's proved he can marshal. Perhaps he can start by calling a mulligan on the renaming exercise that gave us the hoary "Lincoln Motor Company" and go back to oh, say, "Lincoln." Then he can ask the product folks to get to work on the MKC concept...
