I have a near mint condition 1989 Lincoln town car signature series. The car is beautiful and sending in every way. It drives beautifully and all mechanicals are in perfect running order. All electronics work as they should and I have installed a aftermarket stereo. I also have the original stereo that came with car. The exterior is amazing showing only a few minor imperfections which is documented in the photos. The interior is near perfect showing only minor wear on the leather drivers seat. All the door panels are perfect, the dash is perfect, the clock works. This car was always garaged and covered. The vinyl roof is absolutely perfect, no tears or rips. It has absolutely no rust and is a very beautiful example of a fine luxury vehicle. It only has 42,000 miles and it shows to be correct by the condition of vehicle. It is a one family owned vehicle it's whole life and I purchased it from the original owners grandson. I drive this car for about 2000 miles this summer and it drives like a dream. It never had been driven in the winter. The car is absolutely gorgeous and would be great for a Lincoln enthusiast. Lincoln land. Lincoln poised to double MKZ Hybrid production
Thu, 18 Jul 2013The Lincoln MKZ Hybrid has been something of a hit for Ford since the beginning, exceeding the company's modest projected 15-percent take rate for more than two years (we say "modest" because that still means an overwhelming majority of Lincoln customers are passing up on the gas-electric powertrain even though it costs the same as the standard model). Either way, Lincoln builds 700 MKZ Hybrids at its plant in Mexico each month, but has sold 715 of them in each of the past three months. That's why, according to a report in The Detroit News, when the restyled 2014 MKZ Hybrid arrives (non-hybrid pictured), Ford is doubling production compared to 2013. Instead of the hybrid model being 20 percent of production, the new hybrid will make up 40 percent.
Ford is doing well with hybrids in general - its portion of the electrified vehicle segment jumping 12 points in a single year to 16 percent. Assuming Ford doesn't change the pricing strategy (along with the changes Ford is making to calibration to improve fuel economy), the sedan could continue to "[show] other luxury hybrids how it's done" when it goes on sale later this year.
Ford recalling select Taurus, Explorer and Lincoln MKS models over fuel tanks
Sun, 31 Mar 2013Ford is recalling certain 2012 Taurus, 2013 Explorer and 2012 Lincoln MKS models over fuel tank concerns. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, vehicles built between July 19, 2011 and March 15, 2012 may have been built with fuel tanks that have a "marginally sealed seam" on the side. Those seams may not provide the strength necessary to protect the tank from rupture during a collision. They may also leak. The recall covers a total of 3,037 vehicles. NHTSA says that leaked fuel, in the presence of an ignition source, could easily cause a fire.
Dealers will inspect the tanks and replace them as need be free of charge. Owners can expect to be notified once the campaign begins on or around April 22, 2013. You can read the full NHTSA recall notice below for more information.
