THIS CREME PUFF HAS ALWAYS BEEN GARAGED AND NEVER SEEN SNOW!  ORIGINALLY A NORTH CAROLINA CAR, IT WAS PURCHASED NEW BY A DOCTOR. I BOUGHT IT FROM HIS SON AFTER HIS ESTATE WAS SETTLED. I PURCHASED THIS AWESOME CAR IN JUNE OF 2010 WITH 86,502 MILES.  I DROVE IT FROM NC TO NH. IN FOUR YEARS I HAVE PUT A GENTLE 10K ON THE ODOMETER WHICH NOW READS 96,837.

A/C BLOWS ICY COLD AND SHE FLOATS DOWN THE ROAD!  THE CAR HAS BEEN FULLY SERVICED AND DETAILED FOR THE SUMMER SEASON. THE ONLY REASON THAT I AM SELLING IT IS THAT I HAVE PURCHASED TWO MORE CARS ON MY WISH LIST. A 1979 MARK V AND A 2003 MARAUDER. I NEED TO MAKE SOME ROOM IN THE GARAGE. Ford to update Sync, MyFord Touch software... again

Wed, 07 Aug 2013

Ford hasn't had the best luck with its MyFord Touch and Sync systems, as the finicky infotainment system has been subject to a critical whooping while customer issues have helped sink Ford's IQS scores. The automaker has made a concerted effort, though, to try and fix MyFord Touch. And while the results have been mixed, The Blue Oval is hoping its latest free update, set to go live next week, will make things better.
According to a report from The Detroit News, the new system promises streamlined voice commands with fewer levels between opening query and actual result. Ford is also addressing where certain options are selected on the touchscreen. Rather than working one of the four quadrants on the homescreen, users will be able to select anywhere within the quadrant to make adjustments.
While it might only be a band-aid for MFT's problems, the fact that Ford is still trying to improve it is a promising sign. It's going to take more than just this update to address the system's ills, though.

Lincoln needs a farewell address, not a new marketing plan

The trouble with Ford's Lincoln brand is that no one cares about it any more.
Not long after I heard that Mark LaNeve, chief operating officer of Ford agency Team Detroit, was moving to take over direct operations of the New York ad agency Hudson Rouge for Lincoln, I heard that JCPenney CEO Ron Johnson was ousted. The two events are connected.

2013 Lincoln MKS EcoBoost

A Bench-Warmer In Waiting
I hail from Cleveland, and that means I'm familiar with sports franchises that are always falling short of championships. The Indians, the Browns, the Cavs - they've all come close, but being a resident of C-Town means learning to appreciate the effort more than a reward that never seems to come. So I can appreciate the situation in which Lincoln finds itself today, one where the past is full of repeated attempts to be competitive, and looming on the future's horizon is the next hope on which everything hinges.
That next hope for Lincoln is not the car you see here, but rather the smaller, all-new 2013 MKZ sedan. Like LeBron James entering Gund Arena for the first time, the MKZ will enter dealerships this fall as the brand's chosen savior, markedly more stylish, advanced and desirable than anything offered by Lincoln in recent memory. And that would make this car, the 2013 Lincoln MKS EcoBoost, one of the other 20 guys whose names I can't remember who played alongside LeBron during his rookie season.
