1981 Lincoln Town Car ,302-V8, Automatic /Overdrive , New Tires, Exaust System ( Now Has Dual Exaust -Parts Store had them in stock back shelf..sold them to me at discount to get rid of them...!! I just needed 1 tailpipe but figgured the new system was improvement )...This is the only modification to the original car. ...everything else is Factory Stock...all EGR hoses, smog pump etc. as built......Vinyl top is OK ..(could use a new one to make the car perfect). Headliner is Excellent. Spare Tire Never Used- Still has 'Pink Soap' on the Whitewall..........! ....Color is Beige-tan with Light Brown Velor Interior,.. Beautiful Dash and door pannels..Miles are under 60k original..........Very Nice Example ,Qualifies for Collector Plates and reduced Rate Insurance. Ready to Enjoy with Good Gas Milage due to small v8..Room for the whole family .All power accessories work as they should. * There is road Construction in front of our house...I have the car stored inside second floor building so it wouldn't get construction dirt. Lincoln's first shipment of cars arrives in China
Mon, 15 Sep 2014It has been two years since Lincoln first announced its plans to expand into China, and the first models destined for sale in the giant automotive market just came off the boat in Shanghai on September 10. It's going to be a few weeks before Chinese buyers actually have the chance to get behind the wheel, though.
The first two models being offered to China are the MKZ and MKC, as seen arriving in these photos, and they are going to be sold at dealers that look more like hotels than traditional showrooms. The first four are opening in Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou in October, with a grand unveiling of the new brand to Chinese consumers later that month. By the end of the year, Lincoln wants to have eight dealers operating in seven cities. By 2016, the automaker wants to have a lineup of five models available in the People's Republic.
"This is the culmination of months of teamwork and collaboration both in North America and here in China," said Robert Parker, President of Lincoln China, in the company's release.
Ford's Galhotra succeeds Farley as head of Lincoln
Wed, 23 Jul 2014Ford Motor Company is announcing a major personnel shakeup that could have a dramatic effect on the future of the Lincoln division. Kumar Galhotra (pictured above), currently vice president of engineering at Ford for all of its vehicles worldwide, is taking over as the president of the luxury brand on September 1, replacing Jim Farley. The automaker is also hiring a new head of advanced engineering.
Galhotra has a huge job ahead of him as the new boss of Lincoln worldwide, overseeing product development, marketing, sales and service. His task is to turn the luxury division into a world-class brand as quickly as possible, and he reports directly to Ford President and CEO Mark Fields.
"These changes underscore our commitment to build on the success of our One Ford plan by accelerating our pace of progress. They also make clear we are serious about Lincoln as a world-class luxury brand and that product excellence and innovation are what will deliver growth and define our entire company going forward," said Fields in the company's announcement.
