I have a 1979 ,lincoln mark v i bought from a doctor in california 5 years ago, he always kept it garaged kept and so did i ,Power steering ,brakes ,windows ,seats, trunk i bought it with 58,000 miles on it and it now has 70,485 miles on it. i only drove it on sunday drives , its a beautiful car and i hate to sell it but i got another project on the go ,i believe these miles to be accurate as the seats and steering wheel and pedals have hardly any wear on them and the car drives straight as it should and doesnt burn oil ,transmission shifts perfect , when i brought it home from california 5 years ago i put all new brake rubber lines and pads on it,master cylinder, complete tuneup,4 new whitewall tires ,4 new spoked  rims ,ive got 9000$ in this car ,but i will sell for much less ,the interior is 99% perfect and the paint is also very good except for a bit of rust spots  starting around the vinyl top cover moulding, this car has never seen winter and the underneath is excellent ,the car was once painted before i got it , there is a very small dent in the drivers door where someone hit it with there car door  which is hardly noticeable ,the air conditioner needs fixed ,and the small drivers side wing window needs fixed, besides these few little things i know of nothing wrong with this car ,i dont think it was ever smoked in ,it is just sitting here in my garage and everytime i look at it it makes me feel good ,the vinyl top is still soft and no blemishes ,the dash has no cracks whatsoever, the 8 track still works ,miles to empty is right on ,the burgandy cloth interior and the champaign gold exterior is the nicest combination i ever saw in these cars, the wheels are different in some pics , its the spoked rims that are on the car now , i changed them,i took those crager rims off ,  buyer to arrange all delivery and pickup , i will help with sending the vin # to the boarder 72 hrs prior to crossing if buyer is from usa ,when i bought this car i had no problem getting it over the lines , sailed right through , thanks and bid with cofidence

Why Lincoln says it's loving Ellen and Conan MKC ad spoofs [w/videos]

Mon, 13 Oct 2014

You would think that commercial being ridiculed across the Internet would be an advertising executive's worst nightmare, but that's not necessarily the case. At least not when it comes to Lincoln and its latest campaign to promote the new MKC.
The campaign features Matthew McConaughey channeling his characters from True Detective and The Lincoln Lawyer, and was quickly spoofed by both Conan O'Brien and Ellen DeGeneres. But instead of shaking their heads in dismay at the comedy talk-show hosts' take on their ad, Lincoln and its advertising firm Hudson Rouge welcome the free publicity.
"We're flattered. Just to get out into the public mind with parodies says you've achieved a certain amount of notoriety," Hudson Rouge CCO Jon Pearce told Automotive News. "It's hard to put a dollar amount on earned media. We couldn't ask for better."

Huge JFK auction includes two classic Lincolns

Wed, 09 Oct 2013

Want to own a piece of American history? Perhaps you should consider 35th President John F. Kennedy's limousine, a stretched 1960 Lincoln Continental, or the last car he safely rode in before his assassination, a 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible. Both of them will be up for sale at the Camelot: Fifty Years after Dallas auction on October 24, a JFK 50th anniversary auction in Boston.
The black 1960 Continental was part of the presidential motorcade and is bulletproof. The body has been restored to the tune of about $35,000, according to RR Auctions, but the interior was left alone. That's okay, because the winning bidder will be able to enjoy lounging in the well-preserved seats and stepping on the original tan carpeting, just as President Kennedy did. The next owner can even play President, with a divider window, passenger air controls and a two-way telephone - if a chauffeur is hired, of course. The starting bid for the Continental is $25,000.
The other car is more historically relevant (but in this writer's eye, less beautiful), and commands a starting bid of $50,000. The white, convertible 1963 Continental was the last car President Kennedy rode in before his assassination in Dallas - with a notarized document by the car's owner at the time as proof. It was used to transport the President, his wife, Jacqeuline, and Texas governor John Connally "from a breakfast and speech at the Texas Hotel ballroom through the streets of Fort Worth to Carswell Air Force Base, where they boarded a short flight to Dallas on the morning of November 22, 1963," according to RR Auctions. Lincoln specialist Baker Restoration in Connecticut restored the car, which included an engine replacement, body work and paint. Most of the interior, including the seats, are in original condition.

2013 Lincoln MKZ [w/video]

Rebranding When Reinvention Is Requisite
Lincoln - pardon us, the Lincoln Motor Company - assures us that Ford is committed to its success. The awkwardness of the statement (which feels vaguely like your mother telling you that she loves and supports you regardless of what everyone else thinks) was hard to escape when we recently spent a few days with the all-new second-generation 2013 Lincoln MKZ.
Launched earlier this year at the 2012 New York Auto Show, the MKZ is a midsize premium sedan that shares platforms with the Ford Fusion (also all-new for 2013). The sedan's primary competitors, according to Lincoln, include the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, Cadillac CTS and Lexus ES Series sedans - each an established, accomplished player.
