Listing my friends 1979 Lincoln Continental with just under 18,000 original miles on it's V8 big block engine.  The automatic transmission shifts through all gear properly and brakes work as they should.  The tires on this car have less then 4000 miles on them. As the pictures show interior is in overall great shape for the year.  A newer interior headliner was install as the old one did have a rip in the seam. The exterior roof is rip free   The Lincoln comes with power window, locks, and mirrors.  I do believe passenger rear window is currently not working.  The vacuum controlled headlights operate as they should.  The original radio has been replaced with a more modern AM- FM CD player.  As I said in the beginning I'm listing this vehicle for my friend if there is something I missed or something you want to know more please feel free to  contact him.  His name is Dan an his telephone number is 973-900-2908 (Please don't call asking what's the lowest he will take.  Bid what you feel the vehicle is worth and what your comfortable paying for it and maybe you will be the lucky winner best of luck.

Preposed class-action lawsuit targets 'defective' MyFord Touch

Tue, 16 Jul 2013

A national law firm, Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro LLP, has filed a proposed class action lawsuit whose presupposition is that MyFord Touch is defective. Specifically, the complaint states that the system - as well as the MyLincoln Touch and MyMercury Touch clones - often freeze, fail to respond to voice or touch commands and have issues connecting to mobile phones.
According to Hagens Berman managing partner Steve Berman, MyFord Touch is a theoretically "brilliant idea" that falls short in actual execution. Said Berman in a press release, "In reality, the system is fundamentally flawed, failing to reliably provide functionality, amounting to an inconvenience at best, and a serious safety issue at worst."
Other MFT issues enumerated within the 41-page filing include problems controlling the window defroster, rear-view camera and navigation system. The suit maintains that Ford is aware of the problem but has yet to submit a workable and acceptable solution to MFT customers. Scroll down if you'd like to read the full press release.

Never mind the naysayers; Lincoln is worth saving

Fri, 10 Jan 2014

In the case of Henry Leland, naming his new car brand after the first President he cast a vote for in 1864 seemed a jolly good idea, on paper.
You should always be careful about the name you choose to give your new baby. The power of association can work in many ways, not always positive.

Lincoln's second, more traditional, Super Bowl commercial

Sat, 02 Feb 2013

For its second Super Bowl commercial, Lincoln Motor Company has stepped away from the Max Ernst-ian surrealism of the "Steer the Script" spot. No Germans, no turtles, no aliens nor alpacas this time, just a 30-second run through the ways in which Lincoln sees the 2013 MKZ as a rebirth of the brand and everything a luxury consumer would want.
The kind of traditional spot that could run any time of year, the only question we had after watching it was: "Wait - was that... Abraham Lincoln?" Along with the press release from Lincoln, you can view the spot below.
If you want a deeper look and criticism into Lincoln's "Steer The Script," ad, have a read of AOL Autos' column: Lincoln's Super Bowl Ad is a Flop, written by Pete Bigelow.
