1966 Lincoln Continental, All Original/ Garage Kept on 2040-cars
Hamilton, Ohio, United States
Up for auction is an all original 1966 Lincoln Continental. Car was bought from the original owner in 1969 and was a Sunday driver up until 1988. Then the car was put into a garage (with cover) until the spring of 2013. From there, we did a complete tune up, new fluids, new radiator, serviced a/c system, rebuilt front/rear brakes, new starter, and new rear axle seals. This is vehicle is a nothing but sharp. Black top with white paint. A little bit of chrome for some shine along with suicide doors makes for a classic cruiser. The overall condition of this car is great. All of the paint, interior and top is original. Car was stored under cover so there is no fading or discoloration to the top or any chrome. The interior is also in great condition . Zero staining, rips or tears in the seats. Also, the headliner is in great shape. The drive train is in great shape... no tics, pings or knocks. The only flaw on the car is a small scuff on the rear passenger fender. With the warm weather on the way, this would be a great car to hit the local cruise in's or just head out for a Sunday ride. This car is ready for the road and is tired of sitting inside. |

Weekly Recap: New bosses try to jump-start Cadillac and Lincoln
Sat, 26 Jul 2014
Both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
It's ironic that Cadillac and Lincoln got new bosses within days of each other this month. It's also a commentary on the fact both of America's domestic luxury brands seem to be stuck in neutral.
Lincoln says MKZ supply crisis over
Mon, 25 Mar 2013After an excessive number of recalls on the 2013 Escape and Fusion, we can't really fault Ford for being a little extra cautious with the launch of the 2013 Lincoln MKZ. Last month, we reported that dealer supply of the car was extremely limited due to more attention being paid to quality checks of cars rolling off the assembly line, which led to a 73-percent drop in MKZ sales from last year on top of a 32-year low in monthly sales for Lincoln in January.
The reason for the delay was that the sedans were being shipped from the Hermosillo, Mexico assembly plant to be inspected even closer at Ford's Flat Rock, Michigan plant before they were able to head to dealers. Things seem to be straightening out for Lincoln and the MKZ's production now, as Automotive News is reporting that supply should be up to a "normal level" by the end of this month.
Possible MKX concept teased as Lincoln confirms China expansion
Thu, 17 Apr 2014We've been speculating for years about the future of Lincoln. Some thought that Ford needed to kill the division like it did Mercury, while others saw the sales possibility in a brand with so much history. Ford has finally made a decision, and it wasn't what many people were expecting. Lincoln is launching in China this fall, with the brand rollout starting at the upcoming Beijing Motor Show. A new video hints that we might even get to see the concept for the next-generation MKX.
Lincoln is marketing itself in China as a customer-focused, high-end luxury ownership experience. To prove it, the Lincoln Space in Beijing is meant both as a prototype dealer and a grand show of its plans. The modernist structure looks more like an art museum than a car showroom, and the interior decor is like a high-end hotel lobby. The company says that every dealer is going to have license plate recognition technology that knows when an owner arrives, and there will also be a Personalization Studio where potential buyers can design their car with family. Lincoln is promising to have eight showrooms ready in seven cities by this fall.
Of course, a stylish showroom is nothing without cars to sell. Lincoln is promising five models on sale in China by 2016. The MKZ and MKC launch this fall. A midsize luxury SUV, a fullsize luxury sedan and the Navigator are coming later. All of the models sold there are being imported from North America.
