You are viewing a clean, no rust, no accidents, low mile gorgeous 2004 Lincoln Aviator 2WD. No way you can tell it is 10 years old. 9 out 10 on the condition of both exterior and interior. I am the owner, I am not a dealer. I just purchased the car over a month ago on ebay. Engine light popped on halfway through the trip only to get it home to find out it had a bad cylinder. The gentleman I purchased the car from said he had no idea. I bought it for $6300 and put in over $2500 to fix preexisting problem. The experience has soured my view of both e-bay sellers and this car that I now can not stand to look at . Who ever gets the car now will not have to worry about a thing.  If I can not sell it for the starting price, I will just keep it. Some things to keep in mind. It sold for over $43,000 when new. Loaded with many premium options including: Premium wood package including steering wheel, Dual A/C, Foot pedal adjustment, Power seats, 3RD Row seats (seating for 7), Rear DVD System with headphones, 6 CD Player, Running boards, Shiny Polished Chrome Rims, 2 keys and remotes, Security code entry, PWR Sunroof, Navigation, and Voice Recognition. . Upgrades to this vehicle include Lincoln badges on the sides of vehicle, new leather for front seats that matches the leather in the rest of the vehicle ," Bullit" front grill (see pic), new oil change, new front brake rotors. The vehicle has been mechanically maintained, and the vehicle exterior looks real nice, there are absolutely no rips or tears in the leather interior. It drives and shifts very well. Please call me with any questions-I have perfect feed back and hope anyone bidding has the same integrity.thanks 703 946 5256

Ford issues four recalls covering 163k vehicles

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

Recalls! 2014 will be forever remembered as the year that automakers went recall crazy, with millions and millions of vehicles adding up to crush previous recall records well before the end of the year. Adding to that tally is Ford, which announced a call-back for 163,000 vehicles.
Leading that charge are the 2.0-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder engines of the Ford Focus ST and Ford Escape. 160,000 of the 2013 and 2014 models have bad wiring harnesses that can disrupt the signals traveling to the powertrain control module. That, in turn, could lead to a check engine light, reduced power and stalling. Notably, Ford hasn't recalled any other vehicles that feature the 2.0 EcoBoost, such as the Fusion, Taurus or Explorer.
While the Focus ST and Escape constitute the vast majority of recalled vehicles, they aren't the only problem children in the Ford family. 1,300 Transit passenger vans from model year 2015 were recalled due to brake fluid leaks, while another 600 Transit cargo variants were recalled after Ford discovered the windowless sliding doors could come open in the event of a side-impact crash. Dealers will replace the sealing washers on the passenger variants and add a reinforcement plate on the cargo models, The Detroit News reports.

Lincoln Navigator facelift only has to last until 2016 replacement

Thu, 21 Aug 2014

The Navigator is not only Lincoln's longest-serving nameplate - dating back to 1998 when the final Town Car was introduced - but it's also the oldest model still in the brand's portfolio. The current Navigator arrived on the market in 2007, and underwent a refresh just a few months ago for the 2015 model year. The updates were subtle, but if you're waiting for an all-new model, it's just a couple of years down the road.
According to Automotive News, Lincoln is already working on an all-new replacement for the current, long-serving Navigator, which will be revealed two years from now in the middle of 2016 as a 2017 model. At that point, we're expecting it could switch (alongside the Expedition) to the new aluminum architecture introduced on the Ford F-150, seeing as how the current model is based on the old F-150.
In the meantime, the refreshed Navigator ditches the big 5.4-liter Triton V8 in favor of a more economical 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, and wages war in two wheelbase lengths against the V8-powered competition in the form of the Cadillac Escalade (and Escalade ESV), the Land Cruiser-based Lexus LX and the Infiniti QX80, which is based on the overseas Nissan Patrol.

Lincoln takes to the Super Bowl with Twitter schizophrenia

Fri, 01 Feb 2013

Lincoln has officially pulled off the wraps on its ad for this year's Super Bowl. As you may recall, the company invited people to send in their tweets to help craft the spot's story line with Jimmy Fallon in the director's chair. The company chose five tweets and ran with them, and the result is, well, about as focused as your average online comment thread. We do get plenty of shots of the all-new Lincoln MKZ, as well as at least one comment on the interior leather's suppleness.
Do we learn a single thing about the brand's new honey? Nope. But there's a turtle crossing, a band of bikers, a German farming student and herd of alpacas. Mostly, the ad just makes us tired. You can check out the full spot before it airs during the big game by watching it below. We'll be busy preparing for the alpacalypse.
AOL Autos' associate editor Peter Bigelow went deeper in his criticism. Have a read: Lincoln's Super Bowl Ad is A Flop.
