Up for auction is Grandma's pride and joy, her 2004 Lexus SC430.  This car is in very good condition throughout and has only 75,000 miles on the odometer.  Everything works perfectly and the car runs like a dream.  The tires are great.  Just turn the key and go!

The car has Navigation, Mark Levinson 6 disc CD changer stereo, and an extensive list of Lexus standard features.  Why pay dealer mark-up?  Buy this car direct from the owner for less than Kelley Blue Book value.

This SC430 Convertible is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied. The seller shall not be responsible for the authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty of any type.  Any descriptions or representations are for identification purposes only. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle and to have satisfied his or her self as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller has and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects associated with this vehicle at the buyer's request prior to the close of sale. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs needed to the vehicle.

The following terms of sale apply:  Payment in cash, certified check, or bank transfer within seven days of the close of the auction.  All funds must be in US dollars only. Please be sure to have full payment and/or approved financing in place before making your final bid.  The successful high bidder will submit a minimum of a $1,000 non-refundable deposit via Paypal or bank wire transfer within 2 business days of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle.  All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.

The vehicle is in Webster, NY (a suburb of Rochester, NY) and is available for pick up by carrier or by the new owner.  The new owner is responsible for all travel arrangements for his or her self and the vehicle.  I would suggest driving the car home or enclosed carrier transportation.

The vehicle is available for sale locally and the auction may be ended at any time.

Will.I.Am stars in new Lexus NX commercial, designs a version for Paris

Wed, 24 Sep 2014

Whether you love or hate its chiseled, angular lines and spindle grille, the Lexus NX is a big step for the brand as it jumps into the sea of luxury compact crossovers. We've already checked out the new CUV, and to promote its European launch, along with a different nose, Lexus has teamed up with producer and musician Will.I.Am for a commercial titled Striking Angles.
As the name suggests, the ad imagines a futuristic world where practically everything shares the NX's sharp-angled design aesthetic, including the wildlife. Over a thumping remix of his Dreamin' About the Future, the luxury CUV rolls through the misty city streets for Will.I.Am to check out.
That's not the end of Lexus' promotional efforts for its newest addition, though. The brand is also displaying a one-off NX styled by Will.I.Am during Paris Fashion Week. Read the automaker's entire release about its marketing plan for the CUV, below.

Lexus to open stores with branded accessories [w/video]

Thu, 22 Aug 2013

Trying to build a boutique buying atmosphere with a large-volume premium brand isn't easy, but Lexus is attempting to do just that by introducing its new Intersect By Lexus dealership experience. This aspect of Lexus retailing has nothing to do with cars and everything to do with luxury lifestyle accessories. Intersect By Lexus is effectively an all-in-one shopping destination for high-quality, hand-crafted designer products, many of them created specifically for the marque, right down to their "Crafted for Lexus" branding.
The first Intersect By Lexus store will open at the end of this month in Tokyo, with other stores planned for New York and Dubai. Going over the first store's initial product list, it seems that each store will offer wares that reflect its location. Some of the products available at Intersect By Lexus Tokyo include a $400 minimalist LED desk light, hand-sewn $286 tablet cover and a $133 drip coffeemaker and cup set handmade from the ash of Japan's Sakurajima volcano. Scroll down for a short video showing how some of these products were made.

Vice chronicles Okinawa's illegal street racing scene

Mon, 10 Mar 2014

We all know that street racing is dangerous, and that motorsports are best left on the track or drag strip. However, that doesn't mean that there still isn't some outlaw allure among enthusiasts of racing on public roads. In this video, Vice Japan profiles Eikichi Nagayoshi of Japan's island of Okinawa. He is a used car dealer by day and an illegal racer by night.
Nagayoshi has a deep love for his highly customized Toyota Aristo (better known to us as a first-generation Lexus GS) that he claims produces over 1,000 horsepower and has hit 205 miles per hour. He races his car both on drag strips and in drifting competitions, but says that he often has to ship the car to mainland Japan to compete. In the absence of those opportunities, he sometimes gathers friends and takes the racing to the public roads. While we're not down with street racing, this Vice video is an intriguing personality piece, as well as a look into Japan's fabled underground racing scene. Scroll down to check out the video, but make sure you have the "CC" button clicked, because several portions are subtitled.
