I am the second owner, the first owner was an older woman who took great care of the car. I bought the car from PAR Autos in Dallas, TX. At the time it had 52,000 miles on it. The A/C is ice cold, it looks & drives great, definitely a must see, new tires, owned by a non-smoker, the leather seats are like new, I have the title in hand, I just detailed the car and it has a very clean interior, and has been well maintained.
The timing belt needs to be replaced, but beyond that, the car is good for at least another 175,000 miles. When I say that the timing belt needs to be replaced, I want to clarify that the car is running perfectly, and the timing belt has not broken. However, when I talked to my mechanic he suggested that this would be the next maintenance required - as the car has over 100,000 miles. Thanks!

Physical and virtual gaming worlds collide in Lexus IS Hybrid promo
Fri, 13 Sep 2013This is really, really cool. In order to promote its new IS Hybrid, Lexus borrowed an airplane hangar, a former Formula One driver and what we imagine was some serious technological knowhow to create one of the most interesting games we've ever seen. It's called Trace Your Road.
Lexus invited some of its Facebook fans out for the game, which put them in the passenger seat of a Lexus IS Hybrid with former F1 shoe Jarno Trulli. They were then handed a tablet and asked to trace out a road, which was projected onto the floor of the hangar. Trulli had to follow the ever-changing path as his passenger kept on tracing away. It looks like it'd be an absolute riot.

Lexus eschews production in China over quality concerns
Sat, 03 May 2014One of the more popular trends in the auto industry is setting up production operations in China. Mainstream manufacturers like Ford, General Motors and Volkswagen have done it, and even luxury marques like Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz have or will soon have manufacturing ops in the People's Republic.
One company that isn't building cars in China, though, is Lexus. The Toyota-owned luxury brand still manufactures all of its vehicles in Japan (aside from a few RXs, which are built at a Toyota factory in Canada). According to Tokuo Fukuichi, Lexus just isn't ready to build cars there yet.
"The German Three have a brand image that they have cultivated over the past century in their long history, but Lexus is not in people's minds like that yet," Fukuichi-san told Reuters UK.
Lexus RC configurator comes alive, priced from $42,790*

With prices starting at $42,790 for a rear-drive model while an all-wheel-drive RC kicks off at $45,025. Neither price includes Lexus' *$925 destination charge.
With a wild (by Lexus' standards) color palette and the option of regular and F Sport trims, there's a fair amount to play with in this configurator. That said, it follows the brand's typical strategy of offering colors and upholsteries along with a wide range of pre-determined options packages.
For those waiting on the configurator for the RC F, it looks like you'll have to wait a big longer, as Lexus hasn't launched a builder for its high-performance, 467-horsepower, $63,325 coupe. Stay tuned for that one.
