2002 Land Rover Range Rover Hse Sport Utility 4-door 4.6l on 2040-cars
Los Angeles, California, United States
This is an elegant, hardworking and lovable car. In excellent mechanical and operating condition, and handles like a dream. It is a beautiful charcoal grey, with black leather interior, light gray headliner and wood trimming throughout (steering wheel, center console, ashtray, glove box, door panels, and rear AC console) and has dual airbags. Professionally maintained and regularly serviced, it is fully powered (steering, seats, windows and locks) and solid all around. To bring to tip-top shape, the successful bidder should have the electronic air suspension serviced and update a few cosmetic items, such as a new driver's side floor mat, button cover for one of the interior light switches, and replace the front passenger window weather stripping. Externally, there are two paint smudges above the rear passenger wheel well and the side mirrors have taken a few scrapes and bangs. Otherwise, the car is in incredibly good condition, and frequently draws compliments and comments of admiration. Purchased from Land Rover of Newport Beach in 2005. Upon payment of purchase price, via Paypal, wire transfer or check (requires clearing time), buyer can arrange to take direct delivery in Los Angeles or have the vehicle collected for shipment. Seller is not responsible for shipping or any post-sale transportation costs, or any unknown conditions not referenced above. |

Jaguar and Land Rover to consolidate dealerships
Thu, 29 Nov 2012Jaguar and Land Rover are set to merge their sales facilities, according to Inside Line. Jaguar Land Rover North America President Andy Gross says 45 percent of Jaguar owners also have an SUV in their stable, so it makes sense to give customers as much exposure to the cat's high-riding cousins and possible. The number of overall outlets will remain the same, and the brands will reportedly remain separate on the showroom floor, however.
So far, just one dealer has made the move to combine under the roof of one 68,000 square-foot facility in Paramus, New Jersey (above), though a further 20 are ready to make the shift and become Jaguar Land Rover outlets. Gross believes the shift is necessary so that his company's dealer network will accurately reflect the company's products. We'll see how cozy the brands are when Jaguar starts rolling out its own SUVs in a few years.
Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes
Mon, 28 Apr 2014Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Until then, take a look up top for images of the Range Rover-bodied Jaguar as it tests at Germany's Nürburgring. You can also scroll down for our March images for the C-X17 mules testing on public roads.
Jaguar Land Rover building new R&D center for hybrids, EVs, autonomous cars
Wed, 25 Sep 2013The success of Jaguar Land Rover in recent years has largely been down to a resurgent product lineup, but a recent move into the research and development will see the British-based, Indian-owned brands take the fight to its German rivals more aggressively than ever before.
JLR is investing 50 million pounds ($80,345,000, as of this writing) in a joint R&D center in central England. The move will more than triple its staff dedicated to research, from 150 to 500, with Wolfgang Epple, JLR's Director of Research and Technology telling Automotive News Europe, "In order to play among the big animals in automotive and to be anchored in the mind of customers you have to have offered something unique, to be first in market. We want to be one of the key premier automotive manufacturers."
Jaguar Land Rover's 50-million-pound contribution represents more than half of the 94-million-pound tab, on the so-called National Automotive Innovation Campus. Based at Warwick University, Tata's European Technical Center, Warwick Manufacturing Group and the Higher Education Funding Council, an agency of the British government, are all chipping in for the facility.
