1995 Range Rover Classic.  I bought this 9 months ago as a project and have not touched it.  I have driven it around the block 5 or 6 times. The suspension has been switched out to OME coils. The engine runs but is a bit rough.  It sounds like maybe the passenger side exhaust gasket is bad. The brakes worked when I got it but now seem to need to be bled. I can drive it around but I have to pump the pedal 3x or so to stop. Transmission shifts fine.  Past owner installed a non-factory exhaust.  It is in good condition. The body is in pretty good shape for its age.  The paint has quite a few nicks and scratches. The previous owner had the hood clearcoated but most of that has failed and is flaking off. The only visible rust is on the floor beneath the rear tail gate.  It is mostly on the surface and not too bad. There are a few small dents and dings but nothing major. Tires are Michelins.  They are nothing great but I think they would pass inspection.  The interior is in pretty good shape.  The seats are pretty dry and cracked but in decent shape otherwise.  The stitching is split on the passenger seat.  The drivers electric seat motor does not work.  The rear passenger electric window and lock does not work.  The heat/ac blower does not work. All glass is in good condition. All lights work. Has always been a Southern vehicle. Sorry to sound so negative but I am trying to be upfront about all of the bad.  Please contact me with any questions or photo requests.  I will do my best to answer them.  I have sold a few other vehicles on Ebay and have 100% feedback. Vehicle is located in VA.  Title in hand.   Thank You.

Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception

It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.

Jaguar appoints Joe Eberhardt as North American President

Jaguar Land Rover North America has appointed a new president, Joachim Eberhardt. The German exec, 50, had previously done stints at Chrysler Group, DaimlerChrysler UK, Mercedes-Benz USA and Daimler-Benz.
Eberhardt joins JLR NA in a good, but challenging time for the company. It's fresh off the launch of the Range Rover Sport and Jaguar F-Type, which have been subject to rave reviews, and its overall sales are up 21 percent over 2012. Still, as Automotive News points out, the two manufacturers face a fight to become the equal of A-list competitors like BMW and Mercedes in the eyes of consumers.
"Joe brings a proven industry track record and valuable global leadership experience in luxury sales, service and marketing. We look forward to Joe leading our North American team in working with our retail networks to further grow the business and better serve our customers," JLR's group sales operations director, Andy Goss, said.

Jaguar Land Rover says key models in short supply, some have six-month wait lists

Care for a bit more proof that the Jaguar Land Rover portfolio of vehicles is the best it's ever been? Well, the Indian-owned pair of brands saw a record year in 2013, while 2014 has seen a 14-percent increase in sales. The crazy thing is, though, is that figure could be even higher, provided the company had the production capacity.
JLR is running a six-month waiting list on two of its most popular models, the Range Rover Sport (above) and Range Rover. According to Mark White, the company's chief technologist for body engineering, the blame can be placed on the paint shop at the company's Solihull factory, in the UK.
"We will probably max out the paint shop before we max out the body shop. Putting the second body shop in has given us the flexibility to ebb and flow the different models that go through there and meet the capacity demands we've got," White told Automotive News. "However, you always hit a bottleneck somewhere. And the paint shop is probably going to be the next biggest obstacle."
