Reserve set at $40,000! Kelley Blue Book Value says $42,750 I've included a link below. 65K MSRP!! I really just want to sell and get it off my hands as fast as possible... I owe a little more than it's worth, and I'm paying that myself to get it off my hands. Avoid paying all those extra dealership fees/taxes and get a good deal here :) The car includes paint (scratches, dents, dings) insurance at Land Rover dealerships for another 5 years that I paid for out of pocket!! I just really haven't had time to drop it off and get the couple of light scratches fixed (I just moved for my job and started a new position.. Got a lot going on!). But all you have to do is drop it off and tell them you have paint insurance. They'll use your VIN# to look it up, and you're set to go free of charge!
For some reason ebay isn't letting me upload more than 12 pictures even though I'm trying to get the full 24 up.. so here's a link to my public dropbox where you can see a full album: Here's the link to the Kelley Blue Book I priced it under good condition since it has a couple of dings on the wheels, Coupe Dynamic Sport Utility 2D with premium 20"+ Wheels with the climate package and heated seats: Still under factory warranty (up to 50k) the warranty is extendable up to 100k, I purchased it from a Land Rover Dealer, service records available although I've only had to service it once because of the low miles. I'll deliver (drive it) anywhere in California free of charge... we can arrange shipping if you're in another state and I wouldn't mind driving to a few neighbor states and flying back free of charge. (I did some research and even though it depends on where you live, I have a list of companies and quotes for deliveries if you need help there) I just got a company car... this RR is going to be sitting in a garage for the most part because I work 60-70 hour weeks... but I'm in LOVE with it... it's fully loaded with every single option on the list except for the dynamic suspension which in my opinion wasn't worth the extra $10k for an option to the already fantastic terrain response system. The ride is sooo good both on and off road and the terrain response system is exactly what you would expect from the Range Rover Badge. This is one hell of a car! The magnetic ride is so sweet! Special Edition Chrome 20" wheels and low profile tires also make this one stand out above the rest (they were purchased separately from LR). I still have a lien on the car with BoA, but it's an easy process to get the title to you and transferred over (I've done this once before) Please see pictures that highlight a few of the minor dings on the wheels. Paint is in excellent condition, I clay and wax my cars on a regular basis. (Don't forget the paint insurance.. I believe it's around a $650 value) The 12v lighter in the trunk is missing, I use the outlet to power a portable fridge that I use when my girl and I go camping, wires and plug are still there, it's just a matter of buying the part at LR for cheap! The "off roading" it's done has been in and out of camping sites and easy trail heads. Tires have 3/4 tread left and I have both sets of keys and manual. I'm really sad to part with this beauty... every time I get in and drive it, or just look out my window, I have a smile on my face and I can't explain how fuzzy it makes me feel (can you tell I'm in love with cars?). I'm going to miss it :( |

Ford's J Mays feels vindicated by Fusion reception
Tue, 25 Sep 2012It's hard to think back now, but the same man overseeing the design of the 2013 Ford Fusion also presided over a rather lackluster period in Ford design, highlighted by vehicles like the Five Hundred and Freestyle. With the redesigned Fusion receiving high praise, J Mays tells Automotive News that he feels vindicated from criticisms suggesting he's not a daring enough designer.
When Mays took over as lead of design in 1997, he admits to having quite an ego ("My head would barely fit through the door some days. I've long since gotten over myself") and the workload to match. With the Blue Oval's portfolio full of premium brands like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo at that point, along with the bread-and-butter Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models, Mays certainly had quite the challenge.
It was in the mid-2000s that Mays took over just the premium brands, and took on the new title of Chief Creative Officer. At the time, Mays endured some criticism for looking backwards to retro styling, rather than setting a new standard for American car design - criticism that Mays says he is free from with the all-new Fusion.

Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.
