Your bidding on a 1998 Land Rover Discovery LSE with 158 k miles. The body and paint are in nice condition for a 16 year old vehicle as you can see from my pictures the paint has plenty of shine left in it . The body is in nice shape it does have a few dings here and there but nothing that is earth shattering . The top of the door jams in both rear doors have the usual body rot it looks to me like it could be easily repaired .The interior is in great shape with the exception of two items the head line is loose in a couple areas but again not something that cant be repaired easily and the passenger side inside door handle is pulled away from its bracket. It does have dual sun roofs , power seats, power windows, all seem to work fine. The tires are about 50% worn but still have plenty of life left. I have driven the vehicle a few miles myself and it does run and drive it does have a check engine light on and I don't know what the code is again I am not interested in selling this vehicle as a drive it away normal sale . I am selling it as a fixer upper. I will tell you that it does start up run and drive and it does drive well but I am not interested in warrantying this vehicle in any way. These are the top luxury cars bought by people entering the segment for the first time

Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.
Jaguar Land Rover calls in handful of vehicles over suspension bolts
Thu, 24 Apr 2014With most recalls seemingly affecting mass-market vehicles, it'd be all too easy to assume, consciously or otherwise, that higher-end automobiles never face such issues. But the main reason we don't see the NHTSA recalling more luxury automobiles isn't because of their quality, we'd postulate: it's because of their relative scarcity.
Take Jaguar Land Rover, recalls of whose vehicles we only seem to have cause to report about once a year. So if you're figuring they're about due, here you go. The Indian-owned British auto group has just announced two recalls, both regarding suspension components: one affecting Jaguars and another concerning - you guessed it - Land Rovers.
First up we have a recall for 2013 to 2014 model year Jaguar XJ, XF and XK models - a whopping 297 of them - which have been found to have problematic toe links. Separation of the toe link from the rear sub-frame could result in impaired stability and control over the vehicle's direction, so JLR is calling them in to replace the nuts and washers on the rear toe links.
