1994 NAS Land Rover Defender 90 3.9 ltr. fuel injected aluminum V8 with upgraded Mallory ignition 5 speed R380 transmission LT230 high/low transfer case with diff lock 5- 285/75/16 BF Goodrich all terrain tires with about 75% tread left 1.5” spring lift with OME shocks This is a very nice, non rusty, dry climate, low mileage Defender. As you can see from the pictures, it comes with a full top as well as a bikini top and tonneau cover set up giving you several options. It drives nice and straight on the highway and has plenty of power. It shifts good too although if you try to go from 1st to 2nd gear too fast you’ll get a slight gear meshing sound. Its fine if you don’t try to shift like you’re in a race car. I use Redline MTL transmission fluid in the transmission. The interior is real nice although there are a few cracks in the 20 year old plastic parts here and there which have been repaired. The air conditioning works great. It has 2 new a/c vents and the brake and clutch pedal pads are new. Has a CD player/radio, tuffy lock box and new waterproof marine grade speakers. The fully enclosed top is very usable although it is 20 years old and doesn’t seal around the doors all that great and has a few tiny spots that a starting to tear a bit. The soft top attaches to the tub via the improved belt rail system like on a 95 or 97 instead of the snaps that came on a 94. The rear lights and side marker lights have been upgraded to the 95/97 style as well. It has brand new front brake pads. It also has a brand new 4 pin tail light converter hooked up for trailer lights although I’ve never actually towed with it. It's not a perfect D90, but it is really really nice.

Jaguar Land Rover details JustDrive connectivity suite

Tue, 18 Nov 2014

JustDrive will allegedly deliver on the long-promised idea of natural communication between driver and car.
Jaguar Land Rover's all-new InControl system is set to get a big bump as the British company will add a new service called JustDrive, which expands on the smartphone-focused infotainment system by adding a singular voice controller for a wide array of the system's currently available apps.

Jaguar SUV mule doing Ring testing in Evoque clothes

Mon, 28 Apr 2014

Jaguar has moved its Range Rover Evoque-bodied tests of the production C-X17 Concept from icy streets to the legendary Nürburgring, as work continues on the brand's first SUV.
Really, there's not a great deal of new stuff here. Based on the number plates, this is a different vehicle from the one we saw back in March, which we originally identified as the upcoming replacement for the Land Rover Freelander/LR2. The details, though, appear largely the same. The biggest distinction we can see between the March tests and this are the US-spec headlights, which add amber reflectors at their sides. Based on these shots, it does seem as if the C-X17 should be a fairly poised road vehicle, as the engineers hustle it around the 'Ring.
Of course, as soon our spies can capture images of a production-bodied C-X17, we'll be sure to pass those on to you. Until then, take a look up top for images of the Range Rover-bodied Jaguar as it tests at Germany's Nürburgring. You can also scroll down for our March images for the C-X17 mules testing on public roads.

Jaguar Land Rover opens first overseas factory in China

Wed, 22 Oct 2014

Anyone who's a car fan knows that Jaguar and Land Rover cars and trucks all come from the UK. And while we don't doubt that will remain true for the most part, it won't be an absolute truth for long, as the British automaker has just opened its first factory overseas.
Its new plant in Changshu, China, is the result of a $1.8-billion joint venture between JLR and local automaker Chery. It covers some 4.3-million square feet and will, once at peak capacity, produce 130,000 units specifically for the Chinese market, where JLR sells over 100,000 vehicles each year to make it the company's single largest market worldwide.
Production at what's officially known as the Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Company will start with the Evoque, of which one in five globally are currently sold in China. Production will eventually encompass three models. We already know that the Discovery Sport will be next, but the third model line has yet to be announced. JLR has confirmed, however, that the Changshu plant will produce unique models and derivatives specifically for the Chinese market, so we wouldn't be surprised to see a long-wheelbase version of the forthcoming XE or next-generation XF assembled there to satisfy local tastes.
