Lamborghini, Bentley recalling models with carbon-ceramic brakes

An issue involving carbon-ceramic brakes has prompted Lamborghini and Bentley to recall certain models so equipped. The problem, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, revolves around the stainless steel screws that secure the brake rotors, which are prone to corrosion when exposed to salty conditions.
The recall affects 2007-2009 Lamborghini Gallardo coupes and Spyders, 2006-2010 Murcielago coupes and Roadsters and 2007-2011 Bentley Continental GTs, GTCs and Flying Spurs. All in all, some 1,136 vehicles are subject to the recall in the United States, including 263 Gallardos, 404 Murcielagos and 469 Continentals. The fix seems simple enough, with local Lamborghini and Bentley dealers replacing the problematic screws with new ones. The recall follows two notices recently issued for Audis as well. Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo makes official debut at the Quail

Racing fans, meet Lamborghini's newest track weapon, the Huracán LP620-2 Super Trofeo. Designed for the one-make Blancpain Super Trofeo series, the Huracán picks up where its predecessor, the Gallardo, left off.
Its engine bay is home to a ten-cylinder, much like the road-going Huracán. Unlike the coupe, the racer boasts 620 horsepower, up just ten ponies from the LP610-4. But - and as buts go, this is a big one - the Super Trofeo tips the scales at just 2,800 pounds, nearly 400 pounds less than the standard model, thanks to the removal of the all-wheel-drive system. That's right, this Lambo sends its power to the rear wheels.
Aside from the single drive axle, Lamborghini has upgraded the car's aerodynamics, offering gentlemen racers the option of ten different settings for the rear wing, as well as new front and rear diffusers and adjustable front air intakes. Lambo has also fitted specially formatted Pirelli race rubber, and gotten development help from the racing gurus at Dallara Engineering.

This unidentified magazine scan has dribbled its way onto the internet, and the single image shows a radically designed coupe - even by Lamborghini standards - powered by the 6.5-liter V12 from the Aventador tuned to produce 740 horsepower, routed through the company's seven-speed single-clutch gearbox. The bodywork features exposed carbon fiber canards, asymmetric wheel wells, a massive rear wing, and all manner of vents and scoops, all combining for an outlandishly brutal look.
What does "Veneno" mean, exactly? It translates to "poison" in Spanish, but if the company's history is anything to go by, it must also be the name of a noteworthy bull in the history of tauromachia. What the car means to Lamborghini, however, is a celebration of the one-time tractor manufacturer's 50th anniversary.
