Selling a 2007 2LZ Victory Red Chevrolet Corvette Z06. I am the second owner of car and I bought it when it was 100% stock at 35k miles. Since then I have added some modifications to  compliment and upgrade the z06. The LS7 engine is known for valve train failures in the stock cylinder heads and is about the only negative thing about them . I went ahead and upgraded to the WCCH/Vette-Air  Stage 2 x ported heads 65cc w/bronze valve guides and stainless exh valves to prevent any possible valve failure. Along with this I also added a new 652 lift custom comp California smog legal camshaft,  Brian tooley platinum dual valve springs, Comp cams 3/8 pushrods, Comp cams trunnion rocker upgrade, Halltech cold air intake, NGK tr7ix iridium spark  plugs ,  MSD plug wires, 160 thermostat. The motor is still 100% California smog legal and obtains the original catalytic converters and stock style mufflers with internal mod. It also comes with the "Mild to Wild" Exhaust switch installed for easy sound control. With these engine mods the car was dyno tuned at 514 rwhp and drives just like a stock car. The suspension of the car was upgraded with  Michelin Pilot Super Sports, Bilstein Shocks with DRM specs , Gloss black spider wheels, Lowered all around with stock bolts. The roof has been vinyl wrapped with black carbon for looks but can be removed easily if desired. The overall exterior is in really good shape beside one scratch about 3/4 long on lower passenger door and usual front end minor rock chips. The interior is also is excellent condition with a two tone charcoal gray and titanium mix with light gray bolsters. It has always been smoke free car. Has iPod/iPhone hook already installed to factory deck. The final sale with be done with my credit union for the remaining balance I owe on the z06 and the difference will be made out to myself . A deposit with also be required depending on location and we can arrange shipping also depending on location I'm willing to work with buyer.

Lamborghini profiled on 60 Minutes for 50th anniversary

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Even though we (meaning car enthusiasts as a whole) don't spend our days driving Lamborghinis, they're somehow a familiar, known quantity. We know we'll be wowed by a Lambo, and we have a pretty fair idea of what the sound and acceleration feel like. We know a Lamborghini is going to be wildly expensive, hopelessly impractical and eye-wateringly thirsty, but the charm that comes with the badge outweighs everything else.
We also recognize that we, as enthusiasts, are in the minority, and that the average joe is likely to be far more blown away by a Raging Bull than the average gearhead. That's what makes this an entertaining video. 60 Minutes explored Lamborghini right in the midst of its fiftieth anniversary, testing a Gallardo at Imola, tearing across the roads of Italy in an Aventador and exploring the Sant'Agata factory where all the magic happens. It's a bit of a long video, but it's a really fascinating look at how the mainstream views something extreme. Take a look below for the full, 12-minute clip.

This incredible life-size Lamborghini Aventador is made out of paper

Sun, 08 Sep 2013

We've all screwed around with the cutting and folding fun that results from paper model making over here at the Autoblog Craft Workshop (not a real thing), but we've yet to dive into a project with real scale. Thankfully, dedicated hobbyists the world over are taking care of the heavy lifting for us on this front.
Years back we brought you images of an Epson team mid-build with a full-scale Honda NSX racecar, and that project might still be the granddaddy of the genre (though this Audi A7 and this Bugatti Veyron are pretty good, too). But the Lamborghini Aventador police interceptor model seen here, measuring eight-feet long, is right up there. Gaming fans will recognize the Need For Speed inspiration for the wood pulp Lambo, and after watching the fast-motion video of the entire build process we should all be able to recognize the hard work that went into the car's completion.
Taras Lesko is the designer behind this mammoth paper project; you can read a bit of detail about what went into the build on his website, or you can scroll down to watch it for yourself.

Lamborghini Pregunta Paris concept offered at $2.1M [w/video]

Sun, 14 Apr 2013

When the Lamborghini Veneno was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show, there were those who connected dots from it to the Lamborghini Pregunta concept from 1998, and also to the Pagani Zonda that arrived one year later. Near the end of the turmoil that was Lamborghini's ownership through the mid-nineties, an order was placed with the French Carrosserie Heuliez for a one-off concept car that was "new, original and impossible to confuse with any other car's shapes," that would be built on a Diablo chassis. The result was the Pregunta.
It was an aerospace-influenced supercar with carbon fiber bodywork, a 530-horsepower V12 and a claimed 207-mile-per-hour top speed. It employed rear-wheel drive instead of the Diablo's all-wheel drive, was coated in the same paint used on the French military's Dassault Rafale fighter jet and had fiber optic lighting, rear-view cameras and a GPS system. It was shown to the world at the 1998 Paris Motor Show, and again at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show.
Thought to be the last concept built on a Lamborghini body before Audi bought the company in 1998, AutoDrome, a French specialist in vintage exotics, has the Pregunta for sale for 1.6 million euros ($2.1M US). You can watch it hit the runway with a Rafale in the video below, then give AutoDrome a call if you're interested.
