This is a one owner car/suv. It gets a continuous 34 miles per gallon. 69k miles. The clutch, transmission shift perfect like it did brand new. The engine is really quiet. It has a 4 cylinder 2.0. Very good on gas. The car has been maintained well. it runs, drives, and stops like new. The suspension is like it should be. The steering is nice and tight. The seats fold down in the back to offer more storage of bigger items. There is no rust on the car anywhere. there are no dents anywhere on the car. there are no scratches in the paint. It has a clean title, its paid off, its in my name, Bluebook said its value is $11,000 but im offering a no reserve sale as i bought a new car. There is no wear on the car anywhere. The interior is smoke and pet free. It is also in mint condition and still has the new smell! Everything works also, cruise control, a/c is freezing, heater is hot, Cd player with the premium sound sounds very good. The windows have a slight tint to them. The yokohama tires are about 75% left so there in great shape. The engine bay is really clean as well. It leaks no fluids, nor does it burn any. Its a daily driver for many years to come. Kia offers the 100,000 mile or 10 year warranty. The miles were mainly highway miles. This is a great small SUV for any age. Please don't hesitate to ask any questions. It happens all the time. Three or four years into an automobile's lifecycle, the manufacturer goes back to the drawing board, making what it hopes are vital improvements to keep its product at the top of the sales charts. It's true of the vehicle we're discussing today, the 2014 Kia Sorento, but unlike many midlife facelifts, most of what's new here can't be seen with the naked eye.
Yes, there are the normal changes to the front and rear fascias, and a few nips and tucks here and there to improve the crossover's outward appearance. But, for the first time in as long as we can remember, the big news here is that the new Sorento is actually riding atop a new platform, according to Kia.
Hyundai and Kia recalling 1.6M more models for faulty brake switch
Wed, 03 Apr 2013In what is likely the largest recall campaign for Hyundai and Kia, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced a recall of more than 1.6 million models due to a faulty brake switch. This is in addition to almost 700,000 Hyundai and Kia models recalled for the same problem back in 2009.
In more than 620,000 Kia models and 1 million Hyundai products for the 2007 through 2011 model years, the brake switch could malfunction causing the brake lights to not illuminate, which could lead to accident. Other possible issues with a faulty switch include the cruise control not cancelling with the brake pedal, the push-button starter not working properly and the shift interlock not disengaging causing the transmission to be stuck in Park. To fix the problem, the brake lights switch will be replaced.
Due to the large number of units being recalled, both automakers are issuing a notice by next month with parts not expected to be ready until June. The full list of affected vehicles and the NHTSA press releases are posted below.
2014 Cadenza is Kia's take on the Hyundai Azera
Tue, 15 Jan 2013No, this is not the oh-so pleasantly named Quoris rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan - this is Kia's new front-drive entry into the North American market, the Cadenza. (If that sounds familiar, it's because Kia has long used the Cadenza name in other markets.) And while it's a sharp-looking thing, it's not exactly an original masterpiece. Peel away that slick exterior and you'll find a trusty Hyundai Azera doing the grunt work.
That's no bad thing, though; the Azera's a smooth-sailing sedan. Under the hood is a 3.3-liter direct-injection V6 putting out 293 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with, oh yes, Sportmatic manual mode. That power hits the ground via a sport-tuned suspension with MacPherson struts up front and a multi-link rear configuration, matched with either 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, there's a whole host of nice leather surrounded by wood and chrome accents, with a driver-focused cockpit (sort of like the Optima) with a seven-inch TFT color touchscreen display. Premium options include things like Nappa leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, Kia's UVO infotainment system, HID headlamps with active lighting, heated seats and a heated steering wheel. Sounds comfy.
