Vehicle is in great shape. Runs amazing with so much power on this v6. Car has heated seats, power seats, sunroof, cold air, regular maintenance, multi-disc changer, leather seats, running boards. Well kept vehicle with only 122,890 miles Car is a daily driver for our family. We just completed three vacation trips with no issues as we maintain the oil changes and tire rotations regularly. First trip was from Arlington, TX to Fremont, OH with average of 27 mpg on the highway. Second trip was from Arlington, TX to Durant, OK with about 26 mpg on the highway. Third trip was from Arlington, TX to Columbus, GA and averaged about 25 mpg on highway. Oil changed as soon as we got back. Car has a lot of power to get up and go. Interior is in good to great shape, no tears or rips in the leather. Well taken care of. Heated seats for those cold mornings and power everything. No lights or warnings on. Exterior is is great to excellent shape. Left rear door has been the target of a grocery cart with 2 small dings. Probably Paintless dent repair could remove these easily and leave the door flawless. Small chips on hood only noticeable if you are looking for flaws. Gravel hit me from a cement truck but I quickly got out of the way to avoid big damage. Otherwise paint looks great as does the body. Tires have better than 75% tread remaining, they look almost new and we rotate every oil change to keep them wearing evenly. Car has 122,890 miles on it right now. Drives and handles great. Kia K900 looks, sounds snarly with forced induction in SEMA preview
Sat, 25 Oct 2014Kia is getting all set for this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, and among its vehicles is something that seems pretty mean.
The Korean company is keeping details quiet about what's under the hood of what it calls the High-Performance K900, but from listening to this video it certainly sounds fantastic with quite a meaty growl. There might be some form of forced induction going on, though we can't say for sure. Elsewhere on the car, Kia isn't being so tight-lipped. The High Performance wears a custom shade of gray paint with a one-off body kit, featuring carbon fiber inserts. It also sports 21-inch gloss black wheels and black chrome trim.
Honestly, we were left scratching our head a little when LeBron James signed on to be the "luxury brand ambassador" for the K900. However, if he were driving this around Cleveland, the endorsement might make a little more sense. Kia negotiating to build $1.5B auto plant in Mexico
Fri, 25 Jul 2014After a string of recent announcements from automakers, Kia may be the next business to break ground on a factory south of the border. The Korean company is reportedly nearly finished with negotiations to build a $1.5-billion plant near the city of Monterrey in the Mexican state of Nuevo Leon. The state's secretary of economic development confirmed the news to Reuters and anticipated talks to be completed in the first two weeks of August. Unnamed insiders also said that the location was aiming for an annual production capacity of 300,000 vehicles.
Rumors from a month ago first suggested the possibility of the new factory. It would reportedly build two models of small cars, and assembly could potentially begin as soon as 21 months after breaking ground. Currently, Kia only has one North American plant, in Georgia, that builds the Sorento and Optima.
In the last few years, Mexico has become of hotbed of North American automobile production. Mazda, Honda and Volkswagen all recently opened new or expanded factories to build cars there. There are even more on the way with a joint venture plant from Mercedes-Benz and Infiniti and BMW's announcement of its own $1 billion undertaking in Mexico.
