Jeep Tj Wrangler 4x4..super Condition...one Owner on 2040-cars
Jadwin, Missouri, United States
1998 Jeep Wrangler TJ with factory steel doors Newly painted, lots of diamond plate, new Bestop half top, new carpet, new seats and fine seat covers, purple led lights in interior, new roll bar padding, new lights and lenses all around, new bumpers lots of custom work, new tailgate hinges, with the brand new spare mounted up front to reduce weight on the tailgate. New tires mounted on new steel wheels with Craiger center caps, Sony stereo with USB port and CD player four new speakers, really too much to list. This is a one owner, (I am the original owner,I bought it new in 1999.)It has never been in an accident, never rolled, just my personal car driven stock as a rock, adult driven and I had just refreshed it last summer with a professional paint job (Hot Rod Black) and did a lot of the custom work myself. I am a retired machinist , tool maker. This is a four cylinder 2.5 liter with a five speed manual trans, No Air! The body was virtually rust free and was always garage kept. Everything works on it, but time for me to move on and need to free up some space. You will like what you see, thanks for looking! On Feb-17-14 at 09:26:55 PST, seller added the following information:This vehicle has used synthetic oil since about 50,000 miles and most of the miles were highway miles as I used it for several years going back and forth from Chicago (Prospect Hts., IL) building our new home in Jadwin, Missouri. We ran it around the farm for a bit, then last summer I decided to give it a makeover. I planned to keep it for myself but now I have other projects in mind and could also use the space. |

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee gets surprisingly comprehensive update, new diesel power
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Traditionally, automotive journalists can be heard muttering something to the effect of "Geeze, it's about time!" whenever a vehicle's midcycle refresh is revealed. As we routinely see and drive new models many months before the public even claps eyes on them in showrooms - and then go on to tweeze apart their minutia in our daily writings - perhaps some impatience is to be expected. With so much exposure to a given vehicle, it's fair to say we tire of most cars and trucks far more quickly than the average consumer.
The alterations are handsome, if not subtle touches from the "If It Ain't Broke" school of design.
Which is why we're pleased to say "Oh, is it time for that already?" when it comes to the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The current WK2 Grand Cherokee hit the market in 2011 and climbed its way into our hearts with its rugged good looks, go-anywhere capability and surprising refinement. We're not yet tired of its appearance or performance, but even so, we're very glad to see Chrysler giving its flagship Jeep some attention, including a much-anticipated diesel powertrain option and some other economy-minded measures.
2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
Mon, 25 Feb 2013Jeep's Super 'Ute Is Fun Thrown In The Face Of Conventional Wisdom
Let's talk asses for a moment. What do they have to do with the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, you ask?
Well, we're here to tell you that this SRT can haul some. Lots of them, as a matter of fact: Jeep has increased the towing capacity of its most powerful SUV to 7,200 pounds. Assuming the average donkey weighs about 400 pounds, the Grand Cherokee SRT can haul ass to the tune of 18 burros, give or take a covered trailer or so, which is significantly more than it could in previous years. In 2013, the machine could manage 5,000 pounds, while the first generation was rated at just 3,500. The increase is mostly attributable to a new eight-speed automatic transmission and beefier rear axle, and it's a welcome update for those who'd like to use their SUV as, well, an SUV with an emphasis on utility.
Four Wheeler crowns Ultimate Factory 4x4... who wins?
Thu, 15 Nov 2012Nearly every automaker doing business in the SUV or pickup truck segments offers a package designed to improve the off-road capabilities of its wares. But, of course, not all such factory kits are created equal. How, then, to separate the wheat from the chaff? Gather each of them up and put them through their paces, naturally.
The folks from Four Wheeler and PickupTrucks.com joined forces to run just such a comparison test, with the winner named the Ultimate Factory 4x4. A total of seven vehicles showed up to the fight: the 2012 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, 2012 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X and Xterra PRO-4X, 2012 Ram Power Wagon, and 2012 Toyota 4Runner Trail and Tacoma TRD T|X Baja Series.
With the contestants in place, the whole crew put each vehicle through a battery of tests that included skidpad and acceleration measurements, a hillclimb, a rocky stairstep course and a rock garden. Considering the nature of the beasts, on-road ride and comfort were not part of the routine.
