Up for sale is my 2003 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Black with light tanish interior. 4.0L 5 speed. 138,xxx miles. The 4x4 works great. Engages and disengages smoothly. The engine runs like a top, and the transmission shifts nice and smooth. The Jeep has hard top and full hard doors. In July of this year, I installed a Brand new 4" suspension lift kit, slip yoke eliminator, tires/wheels, and rock sliders. The wheels used are 15x10" Fuel Revolver's and the tires are 33x12.50 Mud Claw. After the lift, the Jeep got an alignment. It drives straight and smooth now. Up to this point the Jeep had been  completely stock and untouched. With that said, this Jeep is a highway queen, I don't wheel it. It gets driven to work and back and that's about it. Paint is in nice shape. Does have a few rock chips and light scratches, nothing out of the ordinary. Interior is nice aswell. One small pin hole in rear seat. Otherwise they're in great shape. Overall this is a very nice Jeep. It looks good, drives good, is clean and reliable. If I had to have a complaint about anything, it would be the factory radio. The Jeep is located in Central Missouri. I have a clean and clear title for it. Included are lots of pictures but if you have any questions or would like to see something specific, feel free to ask. Thanks and happy bidding.

Chrysler reports $166M net income for Q1, down $307M vs. 2012

Mon, 29 Apr 2013 13:30:00 EST

Preliminary first-quarter results from 2013 have been announced by Chrysler, and the company is reporting a net income of $166 million on revenue of $15.4 billion. Compared to this period last year, net income is down $307 million and revenue has dropped $1 billion.
Chrysler says that its quarter was negatively affected by the costs associated with launching its 2013 Ram Heavy Duty, 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and preparation for the return of the all-new 2014 Jeep Cherokee pictured above. The launches should provide a strong second half of 2013, says the automaker. "We remain on track to achieve our business targets, even as the first-quarter results were affected by an aggressive product launch schedule," said Chrysler Group LLC Chairman and CEO Sergio Marchionne.
On a positive note, the automaker says worldwide vehicle sales are up 8 percent from one year ago, a number pushed by a 12 percent bump in U.S. retail sales. In addition, domestic market share has risen slightly, up to 11.4 percent from 11.2 percent last year. Read more in the official statement below.

Consumer Reports digs Mazda3, disses Jeep Cherokee

Tue, 11 Feb 2014 14:13:00 EST

Consumer Reports has just rendered its verdict on two of the more important cars to launch this year - the Mazda3 and the Jeep Cherokee. Considering the value a "Recommended" rating carries with the public and the viciously competitive markets these two cars compete in, Consumer Reports' view could have some impact on their initial success.
For Mazda, that's a good thing. CR spoke quite highly of the Zoom-Zoom brand's compact sedan and hatch, testing both models, and citing the excellent fuel economy and snickety-snack manual shifter as high points. Downsides to the 3 included a ride that is agile but "nervous," a bit too much noise and a cramped back seat. Still, the 3 was good enough to earn its place in the ranks of the "Recommended."
The Jeep didn't fare quite so well, with CR calling the polarizing CUV "half-baked." Although both engines were tested, the magazine called the 2.4-liter four-pot underpowered and its nine-speed automatic unrefined and unresponsive. That's particularly damning, considering the 9AT's role in future Chrysler products, including the extremely important 200. Overall, the Cherokee missed out on the coveted "Recommended" rating.

Jurassic Park made a big impact on these Jeep drivers

Thu, 12 Jun 2014 20:00:00 EST

For a certain cohort of young folks, Jurassic Park is a touchstone film from their childhood. Not only did it play into practically every little boy's love of dinosaurs, the movie included some great action scenes and special effects that still hold up today. In its latest video, The Aficionauto takes a look the Jurassic Park Motor Pool, a California car club with over 40 fans who created replica vehicles from the iconic film.
The club is made up of an interesting cross-section of people. Many of them were Jeep Wrangler fans that already loved off-roading and Jurassic Park, and liked the idea of bringing them together. Like any close-knit club, it ends up being about community and people coming together to share their interests. It's quite a heartwarming video. Also, be sure to stay until the end because The Aficionauto teases a future Jurassic Park-themed vehicle. Scroll down to check out the motor pool.
