2002 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4.0l Tj 4x4 - Black on 2040-cars
Orlando, Florida, United States
2002 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4.0L TJ 4x4 3.5" Rubicon Lift, 35" Tires, VR8000 Winch, Lots of Toys, LOADED! Please read ad in full before contacting me. First off, I buy quality older Jeeps and fix them up to resell. This is my 4th TJ (have done 2 JKs as well) that I've purchased, added mods, and resold. This is what I do for a hobby as I don't make much of a profit, I actually lose a lot of money most of the time. Anyone that knows Jeeps knows you never get what you put into them. They are definitely money pits, but nothing beats the Jeep experience. While its an expensive hobby, its fun and I love Jeeps. When this one sells, I'll go buy another, start from scratch, and lose my shirt again. LATEST JEEP: This one has a AutoCheck 96/100 which is just unheard of for a vehicle this age, nevermind a Wrangler. It's clean as a whistle, had 1-Owner (plus myself obviously), 115k highway miles, a true GEM! And we all know Wranglers are work horses that kick butt for decades, well over 200,000 miles (the reason for their ridiculously high resale values). This is a Sahara model, which was the top-of-the-line Jeep for that year (Rubicon model didn't exist yet). Adult owned, driven, and was never used as a off-road/trail Jeep - I purchased it stock for 11k cash ($13500 sticker) from Orlando Kia off East Colonial Drive about 6 months ago with the sole intention of putting it on steroids to sell to another lucky Jeeper. After a few months of elbow grease and adding lots of new expensive toys, this sucker is a BEAST! I honestly feel like I can drive through a brick building when I'm behind the wheel, it's pretty awesome. *This Jeep is $10,525 KBB Private-Party Book Value when stripped down and STOCK. HERE IS WHAT HAS BEEN ADDED, FIXED, SERVICED TO TURN IT INTO THE BEAST IT IS TODAY:
Most of the work was done at Jeeper's Den in Orlando, and other services completed at Just Brakes, Tire Kingdom, and by my trustworthy mechanic at Orlando Mobile Mechanic. I have receipts and documentation for EVERYTHING. This is what I paid for this Jeep and put into it in just the last 6 months, most of it at a discount because I'm a frequent customer. All these goodies are brand new! Almost everything is still covered under the manufacturer's warranty. If you want to add even more, just stop into Jeeper's Den in Orlando and tell them you bought one of Shaun's Jeeps - they'll give you the best prices in town. As you can see, sometimes I go overboard on my Jeeps and put more into it than I can sell it for. This is one of those cases. That's OK because I had a blast building it and know some Jeeper is going to have a blast driving it. So if you were considering buying a quality older Jeep to jack up and add some toys, let me save you a few thousand bucks and sell you this monster. It's not every day do you find a 96/100 TJ with brand new tires, wheels, lift, and toys for less than cost. Make an offer, even the list price is a bargain. Cash, certified check only, sorry no financing or trades. Frequently Asked Questions: Why are you selling it? Scroll up and read from the beginning. :) Any accidents? You can scroll up and see the AutoCheck score and full vehicle history report for free courtesy of Ebay and Experian. Will you take a trade as partial payment? No. The price is really high, I can get a new one for that price! ^This one is my favorite. Some people are up in the clouds. Why do you keep buying/selling if you're losing money? It's the thrill of a good find, spending hours in my garage working on it, and the fun of listing it on ebay. An expensive hobby, but cheaper than some others! I don't quite have that much saved up, will you take half and do payments? I can't, not a dealer - unable to put a lien on the title. What's the highest offer you've received? What's the lowest amount you'd accept? The listing is brand new. Obviously I'm shooting for the list price because even that is a $3000 loss for me, but I'm open to offers. |

Jeep rear-mounted fuel tank controversy
Jeepster name may be used for Fiat-based baby Jeep
Tue, 17 Dec 2013In 1948, Willys-Overland, the forbearers of Jeep, built a vehicle called the Jeepster. It was a funky little thing, designed as a mix of the more rugged Jeeps that came before with what was then a modern car, which arguably makes it the world's first crossover. The name was later revived from 1966 to 1972, which means for Jeep enthusiasts, it has some history.
Now, the modern Jeep brand may revive the Jeepster name for a new product, likely based on Fiat bones, that will slot in at the bottom of the brand's range underneath the soon-to-depart Compass and Patriot. The report comes from Australia's Drive, which cites a dealer source that has seen the vehicle.
That same dealer confirmed there is a link between the Jeepster and the rumored Fiat 500X, and that the former will be available in both front and all-wheel-drive variants. The source also claims both gas and diesel engines will be available, although as this is an Aussie site, we shouldn't take that to mean we'll get a diesel Jeepster in the US.
Why Mopar won't release a factory lift kit for the new Jeep Cherokee
Thu, 24 Apr 2014The Jeep Cherokee Dakar concept showed off at the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari made a lot of online friends, even the Cherokee naysayers assenting that there's a monster Jeep underneath the Cherokee's skin if you're willing to go in and get it. But after reading Road & Track's write-up of what went into creating the Dakar, particularly its lift, you'll understand why you'll probably never see the components for it in the Jeep Performance Parts catalog.
The concept's press release mentions a "prototype Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, and additional suspension modifications." The short-story explanation is that the front struts on the standard Cherokee weren't engineered to accept any amount of lift, so the long story begins with the phrase, "an entirely new suspension." Head over to RT to read the details, and don't be afraid to ogle the Cherokee Dakar gallery and another awesome Jeep fancy that won't likely crawl over the hurdles imposed by production reality.
