2001 Jeep Wrangler - Tj, 4.0l, I6, Automatic *** Clean Carfax *** Only 2 Owners on 2040-cars

Year:2001 Mileage:134850
Location:

Denton, Texas, United States

Denton, Texas, United States

This is a really clean Jeep.  I've had five Wranglers so I know what to look for.  This TJ is in fantastic condition.  It has a clean CARFAX report that shows no accident or damage, only two previous owners, and a $220 adjustment above retail book value.

This Jeep has the legendary 4.0L 6-cylinder engine.  I'll never buy another 4-cylinder.  The inline six is far superior, with improved power, reliability, and maintenance. The engine in this Jeep is smooth and strong with no problems that I'm aware of.  The transmission and transfer case are both good.  Drive shafts, axles, and wheel bearings all seem excellent.

The interior is really nice.  The upholstery is clean with no rips or tears.  The seats are tight and comfortable - so sags or soft spots.  The fold-and-tumble rear seat is in great shape. There is carpet in the front and back and it's all in great shape.  The heater is hot and the A/C blows cold.  Everything works just as it should.

This Jeep is solid and tight and drives like a dream.  It's stable on the highway at 70 mph, nimble on city streets, and confident off-road, in the dirt and gravel.  I love driving this Wrangler.  If you have any questions about it, please contact me.  I'll be happy to answer any questions.

I am selling this Jeep through my business partner's car dealership, here in Texas.  You have the advantage of buying from an individual who is passionate about Jeeps, and the confidence of buying from a business who stands behind everything we sell.  Bid with confidence.  You'll be very happy if you win this Jeep.

Thanks for looking.
Happy Jeeping!

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel

Tue, 26 Feb 2013

Choose Your Own Adventure... But Choose Wisely
Jeep has got you covered. We can say this without even having to know what it is you want, because there's hardly an option or configuration that you won't find in the 2014 Grand Cherokee. There are three different engines, three different four-wheel-drive systems (plus rear-wheel drive), four different trim levels - not counting SRT - two different suspension setups and five different settings for various off-road terrain conditions. If you happen to check the box for Quadra-Lift, you'll also have five different ride-height settings for the driver-selectable air suspension.
As you might expect with so many customization possibilities, the way a buyer checks the options sheet can have a profound effect on the final product and its capabilities, to say nothing of its price. Nowhere is that more true than with the Grand Cherokee's choice of engines, with the brand-new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 stealing the spotlight from the still excellent gasoline-fueled 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and 5.7-liter Hemi V8 powerplants that carry over from last year. No matter which engine you choose, though, it will be paired up with Jeep's new standard eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF. This, ladies and gentlemen, is very good news indeed.

2013 AEV Brute Double Cab

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

These are the guys who bring an M777 howitzer to a knife fight. In terms of overall rugged utility, the all-new 2013 Brute Double Cab from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is about as overkill as they come, and we can't seem to get enough of the beasts that this company produces. Unlike most aftermarket firms, always striving to lower cost and increase volume (but at the expense of quality), Michigan-based AEV takes pride in its OEM-quality design, engineering, manufacturing and testing. Everything is as good, or better, than the stuff from the factory, and they have been doing it this way for more than 15 years.
Launched at the recent 2012 SEMA show was the 2013 AEV Brute Double Cab. Its debut marked the company's expansion to a four-door Brute on the newer JK platform (drawing inspiration from the Land Rover Defender 130). I recently spent a few hours with the new truck in sunny Southern California, though unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was limited to pavement-only driving impressions.

Chrysler, Nissan looking into claim that their cars are industry's most hackable

Sun, 10 Aug 2014

A pair of cyber security experts have awarded the ignominious title of most hackable vehicles on American roads to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, 2014 Infiniti Q50 and 2015 Cadillac Escalade.
Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek are set to release a report at the Black Hat hacking conference in Las Vegas, Automotive News reports. The two men found the Jeep, Caddy and Q50 were easiest to hack based not on actual tests with the vehicles, but a detailed analysis of systems like Bluetooth and wireless internet access - basically, anything that'd allow a hacker to remotely gain access to the vehicle's systems.
Considering this lack of hands-on testing, the pair acknowledge that "most hackable" could be a relative term - they point out that the vehicles may actually be quite secure.
