I am listing this vehicle for a customer of mine. I have done all the work on this Jeep for the last three years. Listed below is what work I have done to it in that time.
Completly new and rebuilt Dana 44 Rear End, The customer was driving on highway and hit a mattress that was in the middle of the road. They had a friend of theirs look at it and they said it was fine. Needless to say it was not. They ended up braking off the pinion and ruining the housing. Their insurance company paid $5,000 to have a completly new rear end put in it. We had to get a new housing from Detriot, new ring and pinion, new locking diff, new axle bearings and everything that went with that. This is the best rearend you can get in these jeeps and everything is bran new.

This Jeep needs nothing. It also has rock sliders and comes with the soft and hard top and doors. The zipper on the back of the soft top needs to be replaced. He also has another smaller top for it and a rack system. Motor trans everything works great. Has no problems that I know of. The frame was patched in a spot where they always rust out. I have done lots of these and this one was not bad at all. It was patched properly and will pass inspection in any state. Its a three inch patch. The Jeeps have a boxed frame and mud and road durt can sit in them. We have blown out the frame and told them to make sure they clean it out regularly. If you do this you will have no problems with it. Most people would not even be able to tell, but I want to be straight forward about it. No bs. The work and parts listed is over 10k. You are basically paying for all the new parts and labor and getting the jeep for free. Miles is 138K which is nothing for these striagh six's. They are one of the best engines ever made. Please let me know if you have any Questions.

Jeep recalls 92k Grand Cherokee SUVs over electrical issue
Thu, 07 Nov 2013According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Chrysler is recalling 91,559 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs from the 2014 model year due to some serious electrical issues. All of the affected models were built between January 8 and August 20, 2013.
The NHTSA report states that, "Due to a disruption of computer communications and loose alternator ground wires, the affected vehicles may experience random illumination of multiple instrument cluster warning lights, loss of cluster illumination and loss of anti-lock brake system (ABS) and electronic stability control (ESC) function." The loss of ABS or ESC would greatly reduce a driver's ability to control the vehicle if things get squirrely, and since these failures would not be illuminated on the dashboard display, drivers would not be warned of the issue, increasing the risk of a crash.
The recall is expected to kick off sometime this month. Chrysler will notify affected Jeep owners and dealerships "will update the ABS and instrument cluster module software and tighten the alternator ground wire," according to NHTSA.
Jeep gunning to build 250,000 Cherokees a year
Thu, 21 Mar 2013Contrary to what a certain politician may have said last year about Jeep moving to China, the automaker is in fact doing the opposite, with plans to greatly increase the production capacity at its Toledo North Assembly plant in Ohio. The Detroit Free Press is reporting that there are big plans for the 2014 Jeep Cherokee and Toledo North, as a local union president has informed the newspaper that Chrysler is planning to produce around 250,000 examples of the new midsize utility per year.
To put this number into context, 250,000 units is more than what Jeep Liberty sales totaled here over the last three years combined. Even taking into consideration that the 250,000 units will be distributed beyond US borders, that's an ambitious volume figure full-stop - and that's without taking into consideration the new Cherokee's love/hate design. In its favor, though, Jeep is making remarkable inroads globally as of late, and the Cherokee's size could work well in emerging markets. To get that kind of output from Toledo's Cherokee assembly line, Chrysler will reportedly hire 1,105 new workers - that's in addition to the 200 workers already being hired to build the popular Jeep Wrangler, which is itself expected to top 220,000 units this year.
2014 Jeep Cherokee
Thu, 19 Sep 2013The Cherokee Is Dead. Long Live The Cherokee.
There are three sentences that, for this reviewer, define what needs to be conveyed about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The first: it is very good.
Jeep spent 27 years building the Cherokee and its brand, from 1974 to 2001. Twelve years ago, the Cherokee nameplate rolled away into the distant hills and retirement, at least here in the NAFTA colonies, and it was replaced by a loaded word we knew as "Liberty."
