The Sahara has some scratches and a few small dents on the hood, but no rust. The Jeep drives good with good oil pressure, plenty of power, but has a little lifter noise when 1st cranking. The A/C also has a small leak. It's blowing cold today, but tomorrow it may not be. It's a good solid good running Jeep and if you are looking for a 6 cylinder (which I definitely would), I don't think you can find another one in this price range."

1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, 4x4, 6 cylinder, 5 speed, Nice interior, A/C, Hard Top, Full hard doors, 4" lift, New Wild Country 32x11.50x15tires (less than 100 miles) $672, new Cat back exhaust system $290, new windshield $168, plugs & plug wires + engine compartment detail $400 & just serviced so it's ready to go. The Jeep runs strong with great oil pressure, doesn't smoke, shifts as it should and the 4 wheel drive works well in either hi or lo range. The not so good: It does have a few scratches and dings as you would expect from a 98 Jeep, but no rust! The A/C is working fine at the present, but has a leak that would need fixing before next summer. The motor has a lifter noise when it's cold, but I have had this checked and mechanically it's ok except for the noise. I'm trying to be truthful about the Jeep and I think the winner will be happy with the purchase. Freak accident during Jeep demonstration turns fatal

A 20-year-old woman was killed in Edmonton, Canada on Satuday, reports CTV News, in a freak accident resulting from a rollover during a Jeep demonstration. As part of a fundraising enthusiast event called "Jeeps Go Topless," the driver of one Jeep Wrangler drove up and onto the top of the tire of another.
CTV reports that the owner of the topmost Jeep then switched the vehicle off, posed for pictures and then dismounted from his vehicle. His movement off of the Jeep apparently caused it to tip over, crushing a woman who was on top of an adjacent vehicle. Edmonton police are currently investigating more fully what caused the parking lot accident to occur. Scroll below to watch the CTV News video report about this tragic incident.

Jeep fans in Australia are none too happy with the off-road brand following a contest that saw ten new Cherokees sold for just $10,000 Australian (about $9,400), roughly a quarter of the vehicle's price Down Under.
The contest, called the "World's Most Remote Dealership," gave Aussies the chance to snag an ultra-affordable Cherokee Longitude (analogous to the US-spec Latitude trim), provided they could get to a secret dealership in the remote wilderness of western New South Wales, near the border with the state of South Australia.
In order to get the exact location of the dealership, though, potential customers needed to download an app, which would release a phone number 9:00 AM AEST on Thursday (7:00 PM EDT, Wednesday night). The first ten people who could call in and prove they could afford to finance $10,000 and get to the remote dealership, were given the location of the remote dealership.

2014 Jeep Cherokee configurator up and running

Production delays aside, Jeep is steaming towards its September on-sale date for the 2014 Cherokee. The reborn midsizer's configurator has just gone live, meaning you can fiddle with different options, colors and trim levels to your heart's content.
The cheapest model available is the 4X2 Sport, which starts at a reasonable $22,995. On the high end, the Cherokee's builder allowed us to indulge our passion for ludicrously priced vehicles by outfitting the top-end Trailhawk, which already starts at $29,495, with $8,610 in options. The resulting car, which you can see above, would retail for $39,100 after the $995 destination is factored in.
