1995 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Sport Utility 2-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
Bordentown, New Jersey, United States
For sale is my 1995 Jeep Wrangler Sahara with 4.0L six cylinder with automatic transmission.. It is 85% stock and has been my daily driver for the past 4+ years. The only reason I'm selling is I now have the need for a four door vehicle.
Motor is strong and has never had any major problems. 4WD shifts perfectly. I put a new transmission in when I bought the Jeep in June 2010. Radiator was replaced in 2012. All new shocks and springs put on in 2013 as well as a complete brake job at the same time which included new rotors, shoes, pads and brake lines. Regular routine maintenance has been kept up. Tires have good tread and will be fine for a few more years. Odometer reads 95736 which means I've put just a little over 30,000 miles on it since I've owned it.
INTERIOR: Air conditioning works great and cold. Heater strong. There is an aftermarket Sony Xplode CD stereo with detachable face, windshield hinge cup holders. Seats and upholstery is near flawless, no tears or stains, I had covers on them since day one. Carpet is in good condition and easily removed if someone chooses to. Overhead storage shelf. Sound bar w/ speakers. There is also a loc-a-trunk steel cargo box behind the rear seat.
EXTERIOR: Aftermarket QRC rear tube bumper and trailer hitch. Windshield mount auxiliary lights were put on but never wired up, so they are brand new but need to be wired. The paint has some scratches and there is body rust spots that you can see in the photos., Photo 10 is a spot above the right side rear wheel well, photo 11 is at the bottom of the rear tail gate and photo 12 is located at the rear wheel well behind the drivers side door. Overall in good shape for a 20 year old Jeep. It has never been off roaded, mudded or otherwise abused except maybe traveling down an occasional dirt road to a camp site or fishing hole.
Hard top with full steel doors. Included is a Bestop soft top, safari top, bikini top, wind jammer, tonneau cover, jeep cover and two bar mount saddlebags all in Jeep factory matching color: spice. That's over a $1,000.00 worth of canvas tops and accessories right there! I do have the original Jeep Sahara spare tire cover also.
Not in the photos but included if buyer wants them is a windshield mount light bar, screw on side view mirrors that attach for when you have the doors off, hood mount auxiliary light brackets and the original rear bumper steps that were removed to put on the QRC bumper.
NOTE: I will remove all of the window decals you see on the Jeep.
Your welcome to come look at the Jeep in person if you're local, Just message me, I will check this account regularly or call or text 609-332-3860. It is for sale locally as well, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. Buyer is responsible for pick up. |

Some Jeep Cherokees and Chrysler 200s to get standard stop-start in 2015
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Automakers the world over are striving to find ways to make their models more efficient, and Chrysler has a solution for some versions of the 2015 Chrysler 200 and 2015 Jeep Cherokee (2014 model shown). The Tigershark 2.4-liter four-cylinder in the 200 and the 3.2-liter Pentastar V6 in the Cherokee are getting a slight boost later this year thanks to the addition of Chrysler's Engine Stop-Start system as standard equipment. The company predicts modest gains - a three-percent improvement in fuel economy and a three percent reduction in CO2 emissions with the new tech compared to without it. While it's not much, those who sit in traffic a lot may see a difference.
Chrysler's stop/start system uses a high-speed starter motor to restart the vehicle in a claimed a third of a second. It works by detecting when the vehicle comes to a stop and turning off the engine. A more powerful battery maintains all of the model's accessories while it sits. When the driver lets off the brake, the car starts up again to drive away. There is even a button in the cabin to turn the ESS off, if desired.
The Jeep will be the first to receive ESS in the third quarter of this year to coincide with the start of production of the 2015 model-year version. The 200 will follow in the fourth quarter as a rolling change in production.
2015 Ford F-150 named Truck of Texas, Lincoln and Jeep also awarded at Truck Rodeo
Tue, 14 Oct 2014The Ford Motor Company has a lot of reasons to celebrate after winning eight categories in this year's Texas Auto Writers Association's annual Truck Rodeo. Most important among them, the Blue Oval's latest 2015 Ford F-150 earned the prestigious Truck of Texas award, ending the Ram 1500's two-year winning streak. The 2015 Lincoln MKC also grabbed the honor as the CUV of Texas, and Ford was named Truck Line of Texas.
FoMoCo even took trophies for best technology with its extensive use of aluminum on its latest F-Series and best commercial vehicle for the new Transit 250. It wasn't a total sweep, though, because the Jeep Grand Cherokee grabbed the title of the SUV of Texas for the fifth straight time.
This year's event put 60 auto writers in 75 pickups, SUVs and crossovers and challenged them to find the best in a plethora of categories. All of the winners are listed below, and scroll down to read the full announcements from the Texas Auto Writers Association and Ford.
Jeep Cherokee sales rival Wrangler after two months
Sun, 29 Dec 2013In our First Drive article on the 2014 Jeep Cherokee we said, "our informal and thoroughly unscientific opinion is they're going to sell tons of them. Why? Because it is very good." So far, it appears the public concurs. Of course, it's very early - the new compact utility has logged just one month of confirmed sales, but Larry Vellequette at Automotive News says dealers have told him that the second month of sales will be even better, a message that mirrors what we've heard from company execs.
In its first, severely truncated month on sale, the Cherokee sold 579 units. With all of November to play with, though, dealers moved 10,169 of them - compared to 11,753 Wranglers and 14,798 Grand Cherokees. That helped propel Jeep to a 30-percent year-on-year improvement for the month, Chrysler Group to a 16-percent improvement and the group's 44th consecutive month of sales growth, exceeding analyst expectations in posting its best November numbers since 2007.
If it can just keep replicating the its first month of sales, the finalist in North American Truck of the Year voting will smoke the trade done by the outgoing Liberty, which didn't break 7,900 units in a month in the last four years of its life (and normally didn't get close to even that). In March this year, Chrysler said it wants to build 250,000 Cherokees in its Toledo assembly plant for global sales. It's early yet, but with second-month sales quoted as being as "strong as death," the bookies might be resetting the odds.
