BEND, OREGON Rust-Free SURVIVOR!!!
1986 Jeep Grand Wagoneer with ONLY 103,581 ORIGINAL miles on it.
*FRESH ENGINE REBUILD & BRAND NEW TIRES!*
Not only is it rust free, having been safely garage kept since new in arguably the best single area in all the US to keep a classic car, it just got a totally Fresh overhauled/rebuilt engine! I just had 4 brand new Cooper OEM white-wall tires installed and balanced as well! Tires have only 10 miles on them and still have the new tire "rubber spikes" on the tread!

I sought out to find a clean one-of-a-kind desirable silver Grand Wagoneer and it took me a while, and had all the expensive items done to it as i planned to keep it for life and eventually hand off to my son (who is 2 at the moment) but i've since decided to purchase (in addition to my regular line of work) a service business my grandfather owns and now need the extra cash around for business emergencies. Sad but couldn't pass up the opportunity to continue a 3rd generation family business. I bought this car from the 2nd owner who was neighbors with the original owner so car lived on the same street from 1986 to 2014 in Bend, OR. I believe I have literally EVERY service receipt from everything that was ever done to the car, from oil changes to suspension parts replacements, the first owners took impeccable care having it maintained religiously by Jim Smolich JEEP in Bend, OR where it was purchased new (34 original receipts total to be exact).

EVERYTHING WORKS on this car: Power windows INCLUDING the rear power window work perfectly both ways (with the tailgate key or the button up front), Power locks, Cruise Control, 4WD, Power Seats, AM/FM Radio, Cassette Tape Player & Speakers, Dome lights, hi-beams, engine bay light.... Did i miss anything?

You can hook-up an iPod or your iPhone ect through the tape player with a cassette tape adapter ($2.99) and it works great! I love it because it keeps the car in its original form, but allows me to listen to my podcasts/music.

This car also has the famed "Retractable cargo area cover" still intact that are VERY rare!! They don't make them anymore so collectors love cars that have them.
Car shifts great as it should through the gears, great pick-up and power just like it rolled off the lot in '86! ZERO oil leaks, dry garage floor, no burning oil or exhaust leaks that i'm aware of or can hear. No cracks in windows/windshield, the dashboard area looks flawless with no scratches or cracks!

The total bill for the Engine Rebuild alone completed 9/4/14 was $3,566.03
Yes, there are cheaper alternatives but as you'll see from the list, it was done right, with a new cam, machine work, and done by a Jeep specialist who knows these engines and I wanted to build a car that I wouldn't have problems with/pay for later on. I have all the receipts to back up this work that will go with the car.

Here are the details of what has been done to the car summer 2014:

- New Radiator ($314)
- Engine Overhaul ($1,977.99)
- New Comp Camshaft installed (A8 260H-10, .447 Gross Valve Lift)
- New Water Pump
- Re-Sealed all oil-pan gaskets
- Re-Sealed Rear Main Seal w new gaskets $419 (often a problem with GWagoneers so just got it done)
- New Plug & Wire Set ($55.90)
- 2 New V-Belts ($39.98)
- New Curved Radiator Hose ($10.09)
- New K&N Style oil-less air filter
- New Air Valves
- All New Sparkplugs
- New Manifold Gaskets replaced
- New Oil filter and Oil Change
- Transmission flush
- Coolant Flush
- 4 Brand New Cooper White-wall OEM Tires (Only 10 miles on them!!) ($420)
- Wheel Balance and Alignment
- New Cold Air intake from Team Grand Wagoneer

Including the above items mentioned, this car comes with the following:
- Original window sticker from Jim Smolich Motors ($22,626 sticker price)
- Original Jeep Owners Manual with original owner's information filled in
- All documentation from Comp Camshafts/warranty info
- Tons of extra pictures from engine overhaul process
- Clean Wisconsin title ready to be signed over to new owner.

I am not afraid of ANYTHING on this car as I had it built/restored for the long haul, however it is not perfect. There is a small 2 inch size dent in the Driver rear back corner near tail light and a few minor nicks from stones as you'd expect from even a "newer" car with 100K on it. Also 3 or 4 small dents here and there between hood and rest of car, but are hard to find (see pictures). My family company buys and sells corporate aircraft for companies so we have to analyze the condition of what we're selling and communicate that to a buyer often. In my industry, this can be the difference in life or death as you can imagine so i try to be over-honest in how i present things. my hope is that you are more impressed with the car when you see it in person than what is depicted on EBAY! I'm not afraid of anything, this is a GREAT RELIABLE CAR, so bid with confidence! This one is a TRUE RUST-FREE SURVIVOR!!! These cars (especially ready-to-go like this) are not going down in value as many have been rusted out so here's your chance to own a low-mile "Late-Model" Grand Wagoneer that doesn't have the rust cancer throughout it's body. Below are 2 videos (Hopefully) that help illustrate the great condition of this Grand Wagoneer. 1 is a walk-around, the other is a quick test-drive around my neighborhood.

As I mentioned, I have a clean Wisconsin title in my hand, ready to be signed over to new owner.
I will help reasonably with any shipping requests but ultimately it's up to you.
Car is available for viewing prior to auction end if you want to see it.
Please email me with any questions through Ebay and GOOD LUCK!

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee gets surprisingly comprehensive update, new diesel power

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

Traditionally, automotive journalists can be heard muttering something to the effect of "Geeze, it's about time!" whenever a vehicle's midcycle refresh is revealed. As we routinely see and drive new models many months before the public even claps eyes on them in showrooms - and then go on to tweeze apart their minutia in our daily writings - perhaps some impatience is to be expected. With so much exposure to a given vehicle, it's fair to say we tire of most cars and trucks far more quickly than the average consumer.
The alterations are handsome, if not subtle touches from the "If It Ain't Broke" school of design.
Which is why we're pleased to say "Oh, is it time for that already?" when it comes to the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The current WK2 Grand Cherokee hit the market in 2011 and climbed its way into our hearts with its rugged good looks, go-anywhere capability and surprising refinement. We're not yet tired of its appearance or performance, but even so, we're very glad to see Chrysler giving its flagship Jeep some attention, including a much-anticipated diesel powertrain option and some other economy-minded measures.

Jeep going bigger with new Grand Wagoneer, smaller with sub-Renegade?

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

The headlines are still rolling in for the new Renegade that Jeep unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last week, but already reports are surfacing, citing sources within the company, about what Chrysler's iconic off-road brand will do next.
Speaking with Auto Express (whose reports we tend to take with a grain of salt or two), Jeep chief Mike Manley suggested that two courses of action are currently under consideration at Auburn Hills to develop two very different new models - one smaller and one larger than anything Jeep currently makes.
One plan would be to make an SUV or crossover even smaller than the new Renegade, although it isn't immediately clear what platform it would take. The Renegade (pictured above in Trailhawk spec) will be built in Italy alongside Fiat's upcoming 500X, but uses a heavily modified platform. We figure the smaller model, if approved, could base itself on the new Fiat Panda Cross.

Chrysler investigating complaints of vehicles with faulty power modules

Sun, 24 Aug 2014

Chrysler owners are hopping mad after experiencing a series of electrical gremlins in some of the company's vehicles. Issues range from mere annoyances - windows rolling down and radios turning off of their own accord - to serious safety issues, with headlights that randomly shut off at night and cars that stall and refuse to start.
The issues are being blamed on the total integrated power module, which can cost up to $1,000 for customers to replace. This, of course, has led to a hefty batch of complaints to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, with 240 owners expressing their displeasure so far. Another site, CarComplaints.com, has registered over 300 complaints relating to the 2010 to 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango, alone, according to The New York Times.
Chrysler has acknowledged that it's investigating the complaints and is analyzing the faulty TIPMs, but that isn't quite enough for customers of the affected vehicles. The newspaper has snagged a few of the more harrowing tales with the electrically challenged Chrysler products, culled from the NHTSA complaints.
