2009 Jeep Liberty Sport 4wd 3.7l V6 Automatic Transmission on 2040-cars
Denver, Colorado, United States
This is my wife's car which she dearly loves and hates the thought of parting with. However, our needs have changed and it is time to move on. The car has been very well maintained and has many more years and miles ahead of it. Everything works, and it runs, drives, and operates just as it should. It is unstoppable it the snow. The tires will get you through the summer, but I would change them before next winter. The paint on the rear bumper is peeling from when my wife bumped into a trash can. The bumper is OK and could easily be repainted should the new owner choose to do so. I have discounted the price for the cost of new tires, and the cost of a bumper repaint. This is a good reliable car. At this price you would be hard-pressed to find one of comparable value. Following is some additional information about the 2009 Jeep Liberty I borrowed from Jeep literature: "Gone are the days of SUVs being the size of a tank and handling like one. The Jeep Liberty is a perfect example of how SUVs have evolved into vehicles that are as refined as they are rugged. Tackle any terrain with the 4WD Liberty Sport. Off the road or on the parkway, you'll drive with confidence no matter the weather conditions or landscape. Stupendously fast, yet subtle at the same time, the Liberty Sport sets the bar high. A true automotive masterpiece, the Jeep Liberty can function on track-day or work-day, and will always get you to your destination very quick. The 2009 Jeep Liberty represents a strong, smart purchase in the compact SUV segment. Among the class, the Liberty is very rugged and ideally suited toward light towing or serious off-roading. Interesting features of this model are improved handling, interior comfort., and Strong off-road-oriented features." Also, I have included in the pictures, copies of documents showing all the features and options included on the Liberty at the time of purchase.(see pictures). The car is located and available for viewing and test driving at my son's house in Denver. Please contact me if you wish to arrange time to see the car.

Jeep brings quartet of concepts to Beijing to show its Chinese style
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Jeep is making a big play for the Chinese crossover market at the 2014 Beijing Motor Show. It has a quartet styling concepts for the Renegade, Cherokee and Wrangler that are inspired by Chinese culture at the show.
Among them is the newest member of the Jeep lineup - the Renegade. Its Zi You Xia concept (pictured above) comes from the Mandarin for "rebel," and it's painted in Warm Chocolate Gray with Dark Anodized Bronze trim, including the 20-inch wheels. The roof, grille surround, and mirror caps are done in a complimentary Dark Charcoal color as an accent. The interior is a mix of dark brown leather and Anodized Copper trim. This is one swanky compact crossover.
The Cherokee Sageland and Urbane concepts are meant to show to different sides of Chinese style. With inspiration from the Shangri-La Region, the Sageland has Ivory Pearl tri-coat paint with bronze trim on the outside, and the interior is covered in Gray Nappa leather with red and blue stitching. The Urbane's look comes from the nightlife in the country's cities. The exterior is a color called Maximum Steel with Hyper Black trim. Inside, it combines Piano Black trim with dark red leather seats.
Jeep team takes a field trip to Wagonmaster; researching next Grand Wagoneer?
Fri, 01 Feb 2013
They have the very best intentions of rolling out a seven-passenger vehicle.
Wagonmaster has made a name for itself restoring and selling factory-perfect Jeep Grand Wagoneer models, bridging the gap between when the last production machine rolled off the line in 1991 and present day. The company's efforts haven't gone unnoticed. The entire Jeep product planning team took a little field trip to the company's facility in Kerrville, Texas back in December, and they weren't just there to take in the sights. According to owner Leon Miller's son, Chip Miller, the Jeep team was there to do research for the successor to the Grand Wagoneer throne.
Total auto recalls already on record pace in 2014
Tue, 08 Apr 2014If you've noticed that there have been more recalls than usual this year, you may be on to something. According to a report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the US market is on pace to break a record for recalls. In 2013, 22 million cars were recalled. We're only a third of the way through 2014, though, and we've already halved that figure, with 11 million units recalled. That's wild.
Considering the past few months, it shouldn't be a surprise that General Motors is leading the charge, with six million of the 11 million units recalled coming from one of the General's four brands. Between truck recalls, CUV recalls and the ignition switch recall, 2014 hasn't been a great year for GM.
Other recall leaders include Nissan (one million Sentra and Altima sedans), Honda (900,000 Odyssey minivans), Toyota (over one million units in a few recalls), Volkswagen (150,000 Passat sedans), Chrysler (644,000 Dodge Durango and Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs) and most recently, Ford (434,000 units, the bulk of which were early Ford Escape CUVs). So while it's been a bad year for GM so far, its competitors aren't doing too well, either.
