Beautiful Grand Cherokee V6 2wd with 79000 miles. Full power features including power seat. Regularly maintained and never abused. This was purchased second hand back in 2008 and has been very reliable and trouble free ever since. The paint is very shiney and the interior is clean and fresh, like new. There are 2 minor cosmetic flaws that I do want to mention; the 1st being some light scratches of the right front door. This happened in the garage and in my opinion do not warrent having the door refinished and risking having a paint mismatch. The other is a missing rear A/C vent cover, which is at the back of the center console (you can see in one of the pics). Otherwise, I would say that this truck is EXCEPTIONAL for it's age. The tires have about 50-60% tread remaining and the alignment is perfect. The A/C will FREEZE you!!!! This is just a nice drving Jeep that needs nothing. Clear and clean title in hand. I've priced this BELOW book value. Compare the price to the others listed with SIMILAR MILEAGE AND CONDITION and you'll see that mine is priced low. The price is firm at $7950 CASH and LOWBALL OFFERS WILL BE IGNORED.

Jeep follows up Super Bowl spot with call to help the USO
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Once again, Chrysler had one of the most talked about Super Bowl commercials with its two-minute Whole Again Jeep spot, which was used to highlight its Operation SAFE Return program for US military personnel returning home from active duty. As part of this campaign, Jeep announced today that it will be donating up to $300,000 to the United Services Organizations (USO), and you can help.
Simply tweet using the #joinOSR hashtag on Twitter, visit the Yahoo! homepage or go to the Jeep Operation SAFE Return website, and Jeep will donate $1 to a fund that provides returning troops things like employment assistance and incentives to buy new vehicles. Jeep is also donating to this charity to the tune of $250 for each Jeep Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited (including the Freedom Edition model) and Jeep Patriot Freedom Edition model sold.
Chrysler axes old V6s, goes all-Pentastar
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Old technology has a way of lingering on, particularly at Chrysler headquarters in Auburn Hills. So while the Pentastar V6 has replaced the older engine architecture in just about every application, it still soldiered on in some export markets. But the introduction of a new 3.0-liter Pentastar V6, produced in Michigan and meant only for the Chinese market, has put the final nail in the old engine's coffin.
Fitted into the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler just introduced to China at the Chengdu Motor Show, the downsized six uses the same architecture as the larger 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. But because of its 2,997cc capacity, it can be exported to China without the increased duty the 3.6-liter or even 3.2-liter Pentastar engines would incur. The 3.0-liter V6 develops 230 horsepower at 6,350 rpm and 210 pound-feet at 4,400 rpm.
Admittedly, it's unlikely, but even though the engine was said to be created solely to undercut tax thresholds in China and Europe, the 3.0-liter Pentastar has recently surfaced in rumors of an application here: as the boosted heart of a potential Cherokee SRT with anywhere from 375 to 410 hp.

Tue, 14 May 2013Hennessey Performance Engineering has created an HPE650 package for the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT fitted with the 6.4-liter Hemi engine. When it leaves the showroom floor it has 470 horsepower and gets from 0-60 miles per hour in 4.8 seconds. When it leaves Hennessey's garage floor after the upgrade it has 650 horsepower - 530 hp at the wheels, according to Hennessey - and gets to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds on its way to running the quarter-mile in 12.6 seconds.
There's more than just a Roots-type supercharger bolt-on, with ported cylinder heads and high-flow headers among the many changes made to the engine. You can watch this pre-2014 facelift silver model prove its spec sheet on the drag strip in the video below.
