this vehicle is rather unusual being it was manufactured when Mercedes and Chrysler were together. it has the Mercedes 6 cylinder diesel engine and transmission and complete drive train, all Mercedes. i am 72 years old and have owned it since new. i paid $46,000.00 for it in 2007 and it has about every option available. i have had an extended warranty on it which is good until 05/29/2017. i have had any problem repaired and all recommended service has been performed. The engine has always had full synthetic oil used in it. the turbo charged diesel gets between 20 and 25 miles per gallon. it has the towing package and 2 separate tow balls are included. it has a video and headset for the back seat passengers. the cd is a multi disk and has a navigation system with an up to date disc. all lights and wipers are automatic and sensing. the back seats fold down for a large storage area. as you can see from the pictures it has no dents or scrapes and has a rack on top. the sun roof is tinted and also has an interior sliding cover. All items are working. the only damage i know of is a small tear in the entry side of the drivers leather seat from wear in getting in and out of the vehicle. i just had the 4 wheel drive serviced so nothing is needed.

Chrysler teases upcoming outlay of SEMA cars
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is hauling a multitude of modified models to the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas this November, and the company is releasing the first teasing sketches of many of them.
Unfortunately, FCA isn't giving many solid details on any of the concepts other than saying the vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat all benefit from tuning from its Mopar performance brand. The teaser photos include a sinister-looking Chrysler 200S, Fiat 500 Abarth with two-tone paint and a scorpion on the hood, a red and black 500L, seemingly two different takes on the Jeep Renegade, a green Dodge Challenger wearing the T/A badge, an orange and black Dart, a very neon Charger, just the outline of a red and black Viper, a Ram ProMaster in Mopar livery and a Ram pickup called the Outdoorsman.

Jeep Cherokee faces on-sale delay
Sat, 23 Mar 2013A report in The Wall Street Journal looks at some of the obstacles to the 2014 Jeep Cherokee that go beyond its mootable yet "very contemporary" looks, almost all of them based on Fiat's financial position. Starting with that sheetmetal, in defense of it SRT president Ralph Gilles and Jeep design head Mark Allen said they wanted to "make sure the design still looks modern five years from now."
The WSJ piece doesn't cite longevity as a factor, instead saying that its features originated in a design for an Alfa Romeo, the transformation into a Jeep design meant allowing Chrysler get it to market more quickly and save "hundreds of millions of dollars" in engineering.
The need for Fiat to save money while it weathers the European situation has cut budgets for development, engineering and the pace of retooling the Toledo, Ohio plant to build the Cherokee. In a familiar case of snowballing at work, among the effects will be pushing back the Cherokee's volume sales date and delaying updates to some of Chrysler's other products.
Jeep Cherokee won't get diesel until sales of oil-burning Grand Cherokee improve
Tue, 01 Jul 2014Okay Jeep fans, you want more diesel options? Time to step up and prove it. The only way Jeep will offer a diesel powerplant in the Cherokee, according to brand head Mike Manley, is if sales of the Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel nearly double.
Currently, about eight percent of the Grand Cherokees sold feature the 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel V6. That's simply not enough to warrant the bringing an oil-burning Cherokee to the US market, despite the vehicle's presence in Europe, where it's sold with a 2.8-liter diesel V6.
"Cherokee is slightly different because of its weight and size. When I think about bringing Cherokee diesel here, I would like to see Grand Cherokee diesel get much higher than eight percent," Manley told Automotive News. "It would have to be in mid-double digits."
