1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Leather, V8, Tow Package, Sunroof, Power Everything on 2040-cars
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States
Kelly blue book places its value between $3,191 and $4,016. Drives nicely. Bought to be my winter driver when I had a 2wheel drive car, but I now have a newer 4wd vehicle I usually drive now. New brakes all around. Transfer case replaced 2,500 miles ago (has 2 wheel drive through 4 low options now, for better fuel mileage when you want it.) "NP242" transfercase for you Jeep nuts. 17” Wheels from a Jeep Sahara Brand new battery installed in August 2013. Has ALL options -- even the sunroof. Even has the remote start, but a dealer or someone smarter than me will need to program the remote since the battery died. Two spares that have never hit the ground: The stock full size spare Brand new tire matching the other 4 that's never hit the ground. Drives nice, still has plenty of power. Selling because I now have 4 vehicles for two people, and have a new project to work on (Comanche with an XJ drive-line and interior.) You can see it at my office in in Upper Saint Claire on Boyce Road most work days 8am-5pm, or at my house in Venetia PA if you let me know ahead of time. I don't always drive it home. I am not interested in any trades. No exceptions. You are responsible for any taxes and title transfer fees. I will try to answer calls at (724) 909-0659. |

Chrysler extending production of current Dodge Avenger, Jeep Wrangler, Grand Caravan
Wed, 24 Jul 2013Are you hesitant to pull the trigger on a brand new Dodge Avenger in hopes that a new one will be coming? Well, don't hold your breath. According to The Detroit News, Chrysler will be extending production of the current Avenger sedan through the end of 2015.
Originally, we heard that the company would kill the Avenger to better focus its midsize sedan efforts on the Chrysler 200 replacement. But then new reports stated there would indeed be an Avenger successor, and that we could see it as early as next January. This Detroit News report cites supplier sources confirming the extension of Avenger production, though Chrysler has not released an official statement on the matter.
These same suppliers say that the current Jeep Wrangler will live on through mid-2018 - that's right, another five years. The Detroit News reports that a replacement for the iconic, go-anywhere Jeep was due in mid-2016.
Jeep team takes a field trip to Wagonmaster; researching next Grand Wagoneer?
Fri, 01 Feb 2013
They have the very best intentions of rolling out a seven-passenger vehicle.
Wagonmaster has made a name for itself restoring and selling factory-perfect Jeep Grand Wagoneer models, bridging the gap between when the last production machine rolled off the line in 1991 and present day. The company's efforts haven't gone unnoticed. The entire Jeep product planning team took a little field trip to the company's facility in Kerrville, Texas back in December, and they weren't just there to take in the sights. According to owner Leon Miller's son, Chip Miller, the Jeep team was there to do research for the successor to the Grand Wagoneer throne.
Jeep Cherokee won't get diesel until sales of oil-burning Grand Cherokee improve
Tue, 01 Jul 2014Okay Jeep fans, you want more diesel options? Time to step up and prove it. The only way Jeep will offer a diesel powerplant in the Cherokee, according to brand head Mike Manley, is if sales of the Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel nearly double.
Currently, about eight percent of the Grand Cherokees sold feature the 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel V6. That's simply not enough to warrant the bringing an oil-burning Cherokee to the US market, despite the vehicle's presence in Europe, where it's sold with a 2.8-liter diesel V6.
"Cherokee is slightly different because of its weight and size. When I think about bringing Cherokee diesel here, I would like to see Grand Cherokee diesel get much higher than eight percent," Manley told Automotive News. "It would have to be in mid-double digits."
