Jeep Cherokee 2 Door 5 Speed 4.0 6 Cylinder 4x4 on 2040-cars

Year:1986 Mileage:183321
Location:

Here i have for sale my 1986 Jeep Cherokee 5 speed 6 cylinder suv. It is in very good condition and has a ton of new parts including new front brake pads, new rotors, calipers, hoses, headliner ($300),newer front seats out of a Grand Cherokee (direct bolt in), new floor pans (1 year old),new muffler and tail pipe,Cd player,Sony rear speakers, rear bumper, and a few more things i can't remember right now. The tires are 235/75/15s and about 60%. The wheels are also off a Jeep Grand Cherokee and in good shape. Oil always changed on a regular basis (about 3000 miles) and just done. Runs like a son of a gun and get's good mileage for a 4.0 Jeep. It's had a little paint work but is nice and straight and has no rust issues. It also has a class 3 trailer hitch with 2" receiver. Only reason im selling is i just don't drive it enough anymore (only 3000 miles since it was last inspected) and iv'e got to many cars and toys on my insurance that i just don't use. Not perfect but all and all a nice clean Jeep that should run for years with little maintenence. Mostly stored inside sice iv'e had it. Im gonna list it for sale locally so i can end this auction at any time! For additional questions you can call me @ 814-four six zero-1899. Thanks

2013 AEV Brute Double Cab

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

These are the guys who bring an M777 howitzer to a knife fight. In terms of overall rugged utility, the all-new 2013 Brute Double Cab from American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) is about as overkill as they come, and we can't seem to get enough of the beasts that this company produces. Unlike most aftermarket firms, always striving to lower cost and increase volume (but at the expense of quality), Michigan-based AEV takes pride in its OEM-quality design, engineering, manufacturing and testing. Everything is as good, or better, than the stuff from the factory, and they have been doing it this way for more than 15 years.
Launched at the recent 2012 SEMA show was the 2013 AEV Brute Double Cab. Its debut marked the company's expansion to a four-door Brute on the newer JK platform (drawing inspiration from the Land Rover Defender 130). I recently spent a few hours with the new truck in sunny Southern California, though unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was limited to pavement-only driving impressions.

2014 Jeep Cherokee facing production delay

Fri, 17 May 2013

Jeep's bold-faced new direction spearheaded by the 2014 Cherokee is facing some teething issues. According to a report by the Detroit Free Press, production start-up of the controversial new utility vehicle at its Toledo North facility is running about a month behind schedule "due to a wide range of issues." That's according to Mark Chernoby, senior vice president of engineering at Chrysler.
Chernoby maintains that the issues being encountered aren't unusual for the launch of a new vehicle - particularly one with a new powertrain - and he downplayed the delay, telling Jeep dealers that they "will have ample inventory of the midsize SUV by fall." Among the kinks being worked out? Calibrating the Cherokee's cutting-edge ZF nine-speed automatic transmission and refining assembly line tasks to make the process more efficient.
Chrysler expects to start building retail-ready versions of the Cherokee around mid-June, with official sales slated to start in September.

Jeep Wrangler Copper Crawler is our idea of a restrained Mopar shopping spree

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

According to a recent report, the Jeep Wrangler is the most popular SUV for customization, and this is backed up by the fact that the iconic off-roader was just named the Hottest 4x4-SUV at SEMA for the fourth year in a row. Looking for ways to keep its customers in-house rather than going aftermarket, Jeep and Mopar are always teaming to offer exciting new parts and pieces for the JK Wrangler.
Compared to most other Wranglers on display at SEMA - as well as other Chrysler Mopar SEMA concepts - the Jeep Wrangler Copper Crawler is surprisingly reserved, but should be no less exciting for owners to give their Wrangler a distinctive look. Starting off with an eye-catching copper paint scheme, the Jeep then goes on a Mopar catalog shopping spree with its matte black grille, black beadlock wheels, two-inch lift, Rubicon bumper (with a winch and aero end caps up front) and rocker panel and taillight guards.
Jeep also upgraded the Wrangler's transfer case for low-speed rock crawling (hence the vehicle's name) and cold-air intake for extra measure.
