The blue jeep is a 1992' jeep cherokee. I'm selling for a friend, so I have a clear title signed and
ready. According to him, it's an 8" lift that was installed 2 years
ago. The jeep has 33x12.50x15s. Pictured, are mud terrains with 95%
tread on them that are available for an additional $500.00 (Tires are
$1300.00 mounted and balanced from the local shop.) If you don't want to
purchase those, it will be sold with the ones in the picture that
aren't mounted on rims. They have a decent amount of tread as you can
see. I have doors for it if you want them but they are still red. The
2nd jeep is just a body and is there for taking out the floorboards and
possibly making a pop top for the back in the case that the new owner
doesn't have a garage to store this in. This is an awesome machine . The
jeep was left in the weather with the carpet still in it. As a result, the frame is
solid, but the front floorboards are shot. We cut out most of the rust
and it is now time to put the floorboards in. The floorboards need to be cut out of the body, and welded or screwed into the 92. Also, sometimes the fuel gauge doesn't read. It truly needs no money
invested because it comes with the seats and floorboards. I tested it in
all gears and transmission and clutch are strong (stick shift). The
transfer case is a bit tough to pull the lever, probably needs to be
greased from where it got rained on inside. I haven't wanted to yank on
it and mess anything up, so I haven't personally tested the 4x4, but was told it worked. All
in all, not a big project. I would say this is meant to be a strictly off-road vehicle. I got it up to 60mph checking 5th gear, but i didn't try cornering at those speeds. This jeep sits HIGH and has RIDICULOUS GROUND CLEARANCE! If you have any questions or want to come
check them out just give me (Zack) a call 252-342-2494

Chrysler teases upcoming outlay of SEMA cars
Wed, 15 Oct 2014Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is hauling a multitude of modified models to the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas this November, and the company is releasing the first teasing sketches of many of them.
Unfortunately, FCA isn't giving many solid details on any of the concepts other than saying the vehicles from Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Fiat all benefit from tuning from its Mopar performance brand. The teaser photos include a sinister-looking Chrysler 200S, Fiat 500 Abarth with two-tone paint and a scorpion on the hood, a red and black 500L, seemingly two different takes on the Jeep Renegade, a green Dodge Challenger wearing the T/A badge, an orange and black Dart, a very neon Charger, just the outline of a red and black Viper, a Ram ProMaster in Mopar livery and a Ram pickup called the Outdoorsman.
Take a look through the gallery to see what you think of the sketches for these concepts, and scroll down for the full announcement from FCA.
Gilles defends 2014 Jeep Cherokee design as "very contemporary"
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Following the forced-hand introduction of the 2014 Jeep Cherokee, there has definitely been a mix of responses revolving around everything from its design to the return of the legendary nameplate. As evidence of this, just check out the 1,000+ comments in our article last week and some of the many opinions that were voiced. Following this not-too-warm reception, Ward's Auto had a chance to talk to Chrysler designer chief - and SRT president - Ralph Gilles, who shed a little more light on the styling direction of the new Cherokee.
Rather than looking to previous models for inspiration, Gilles says that the Cherokee has been designed to be more contemporary, with Mark Allen, head of Jeep design, adding that a main goal was to make sure the design still looks modern five years from now. Interestingly, Gilles does point out that one of the design elements incorporated on the new Cherokee that pays homage to past Jeeps is the sharply downward angle for the leading edge of the beltline, which he notes is meant to mimic the look of the old YJ and TJ Wrangler models fitted with half doors. Of course, the squared-off wheel openings - a signature Jeep cue - are still used.
This is probably a design that will need to be seen on the street in actual daylight to properly assess, but in the meantime, we'll bring you full images and impressions when the Cherokee debuts at next month's New York Auto Show.
Jeep Wrangler gets the wide-track treatment
Mon, 07 Jan 2013When we read the tip about a Gulf-state diplomat in Rabat, Morocco who had supposedly "merged two Jeep Wranglers," we figured the two off-roaders were somehow linked front-to-back. Oh no. As you can see in the image above, taken from video of that vehicle actually traveling down the road and needing more than one lane to do it, the two Jeeps were put together side-by-side.
The seriously widebody truck is said to have six wheels, one at each corner and two in the middle. That's about all anyone seems to know about it at the moment, and that's probably enough - in these situations you know better than to ask why, just watch the video below.
