For Sale: 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport - 144k miles, many new parts Alternator replaced, New Battery, water pump, tune up, thermostat, headlights, cold a/c. Engine & transmission are strong, outside is NOT a showroom car in fact its an out right beast, it has dents, dings, the paint isn't that nice either, no rust.
This was used as an animal rescue car, runs strong needs some TLC & work. I bought it as a project truck but don't have the time or extra money right now, good for someone with the know how and time, which I do not have. Selling as is so please message me with any questions & i will be glad to answer. This is a USED 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport, selling AS IS. Many new parts but needs some work, may need brakes, air bag light is on, check engine light was on (was just told it was the O2 sensor) & will need an alignment. I bought this off of a friend who used it for animal rescue & the inside has a little dog smell to it also just had some rain water that got inside on the rugs only due to big storm we just had and high water but been vacuuming & cleaning it out the past 2 days I bought it as a project truck but do not have the time, extra money or know how to put into it. I have already put $900 into it and am losing money at this point but can no longer keep it & figured it would be best to sell it to someone that has the time and knowledge. Engine & transmission run strong and could make for a great winter vehicle. I am selling it because I am moving and also don't have the extra money or time to put towards this project. GMC boss wants a Jeep Wrangler rival
Wed, 12 Nov 2014Challengers come and challengers go, but the Jeep Wrangler continues to push forward even after vehicles like the Toyota FJ Cruiser and the entire Hummer brand have been shut down. Now GMC reportedly wants to take a stab at the quintessential Jeep, as well.
The news comes directly from Buick-GMC vice president Duncan Aldred, speaking with our compatriots over at Edmunds. Although Aldred said there are no plans currently on the table to expand GMC's lineup beyond the current range, "there is plenty of room everywhere in the hierarchy."
That could include a rival to the Wrangler, as well as a flagship luxury SUV positioned above the current Yukon Denali (pictured above). Just when (or for that matter, if) such models might come into fruition remains a big question mark, but it's certainly interesting to see what GM's dedicated truck brand has on the drawing board.
2014 Easter Jeep Safari kicks off with six concepts
Thu, 10 Apr 2014The 2014 Easter Jeep Safari is set to begin this weekend in Moab, Utah, and while it's sure to be a blast for Jeep enthusiasts from all corners of the world, we're looking forward to the wild, off-road ready concepts that Jeep will be bringing to the red rocks. As you can see in our handy headline, there are six such vehicles in total, each of which sports a variety of tweaks and custom bits.
Unlike in years past, where Jeep graced us with some outrageous concepts like the Mighty FC or J-12, this year's vehicles are a bit more restrained and a bit more buildable by enthusiasts. That's not by accident, officials tell us. They wanted to put this year's focus on attainable vehicles and accessories from Mopar and Jeep Performance Parts that existing owners can use to augment their own vehicles. So let's get to it.
We'll start with the Wranglers first. There are three concepts of the jeepiest of Jeep coming to Moab - the Level Red, Maximum Performance and Mojo. The Level Red and the Mojo (seen above) are similar from a suspension and engine standpoint. Both boast a two-inch Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, which officials tell us is coming to market in the next few months. There are a pair of Dana 44 crate axles on both the front and rear, while a Jeep Performance Parts Rock-Trac transfer case has been fitted. The 3.6-liter V6 engines on both Jeeps can breathe a bit easier thanks to a new cold-air intake and exhaust system.

Sun, 23 Jun 2013Earlier this month, a very significant Jeep was celebrated at the Toledo North Assembly plant. No, it wasn't the upcoming reincarnation of the Jeep Cherokee, but instead it was a 1943 Willys MB that visited the Toledo grounds where it had been built exactly 70 years ago to the day.
Of course, the actual building where the MBs rolled off the assembly line before heading to Europe for World War II no longer exists, but that didn't stop Italian owner Vittorio Argento from having the vehicle shipped to the US to make its trek back to its birth place. According to Chrysler, Argento's MB is still 95-percent original and it drove 1,000 miles from New Jersey to Toledo.
