Up for sale is my black with grey interior 1998 Jeep cherokee Sport 4 door 4.0L 5 speed manual. This is my pride and joy but I just bought a new truck so this must go. I bought this jeep with 78k miles, only 1 owner before me. Clean Carfax, Just broke 100k miles but will go up because I do drive it. interior is nice besides a slight smell from accidently leaving a window open once when it rained. Exterior has a couple minor things including a scratch on the passenger side, a bad paint job on the passenger doors due to someone trying to break in while first owner owned it.. They pried under the locking mechanism to try and pop it out and now there is some JB weld there. This caused the only rust on the whole jeep which is the bottom of the passenger front door. Only other issue is the AC has a leak in the lines, and the normal jeep switch problems (Sometimes passenger door switches work sometimes not, IT'S A JEEP THING)

Within the last 8k miles I have done a lot of work to it including
-All new tires
-All new brakes (Rotors, pads, shoes, and drums)
-New Clutch kit
-New spark plugs and wires
-New cap and rotor
-Oil changes every 3k miles
-NEW o2 sensors
-PA Inspected until Feb of next year

Driving this jeep I get a consistent 22-23MPG's. It is a great vehicle, never left me stranded or even gave me one issue. IT will run to 250k easy. 4x4 works great, trans shifts perfect.  I have the title in hand, and can be available to show the vehicle to any potential buyers. Email with any questions or concerns.

Chrysler accelerates Jeep recall repairs from 2018 to March

Thu, 17 Jul 2014

You may remember that Jeep's unusual fix for this recall involves fitting a trailer hitch.
The recall of about 1.5 million models of the 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty and 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee over fuel tanks may finish far sooner than originally estimated. In a new filing from Jeep's parent, Chrysler Group, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company says that it can complete the repairs for the affected vehicles by March 2015, much sooner than the previous estimate of sometime in 2018. Jeep predicts the total cost of the campaign will be around $151 million.

Mazda2 nets Japan Car of the Year, Cherokee first US model to ever crack top 10

Tue, 14 Oct 2014

The 2015 Mazda2 is quite high up on our must-drive list. Yes, the teeny, tiny successor to the 100-horsepower five-door is worth getting excited over, largely because the previous generation was one of the absolute best smiles-per-dollar values on the market.
While we eagerly await for our opportunity to take to the 2's helm, our expectations of the new car have just been heightened thanks to its win in Japan's Car of the Year competition. Called "Demio" in the land of the rising sun, Japanese journalists handed out Mazda's second COTY award since the CX-5 took the title in 2012.
In more surprising news, the new Jeep Cherokee has made the list of 10 Best Cars in Japan. The Jeep's triumph marks the first time an American car has cracked the top ten, finishing eighth. It's not, however, the first Fiat Chrysler vehicle to snag the title, following in the footsteps of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Fiat Panda. Still, the fact that an American brand can make such impressive inroads into the traditionally tough-to-crack Japanese market is a seriously big deal.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles recalls nearly 750k vehicles in two campaigns

Thu, 16 Oct 2014

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is recalling a total of 747,817 vehicles in the US in two separate campaigns recently added to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration database.
The first one covers about 434,581 units of the Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Challenger, Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee from the 2011-2014 model years with electric hydraulic power steering, the 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 160 amp alternator, according to FCA. In the affected vehicles, it's possible for the alternator to fail without warning and possibly cause the car to stall. According to the documentation submitted to NHTSA, the automaker began investigating the problem in August 2014 and has found possible evidence of one crash caused by the failures but no known injuries.
Customers will begin receiving notification about the recall next month, and obviously the repairs will be done at no cost to them.
