I hate to do it, but I am going to have to part with a member of my family!

I have a 1983 CJ7 Jeep for sale. Before we go any further, allow me to say she needs a little tuning, and tweaking. It runs good, but has been sitting for about a year now. I start her up every now and then, just to keep the fluids flowing. I just installed a new battery, and replaced the water pump, and thermostat, along with a fresh rebuild of the carb. (although the carb still needs a little fine tuning)

I have had this
Here are the specifics about her:

258 CI engine (the good one...lol), 33" Superswamper Tires, new wheels, Weber 2bb progressive carb, Detroit locker in front, one pc axles in rear, Ramsey patriot 9k lb winch, custom made heavy duty bumbers, and spare tire carrier, high lift jack, Rugged Ridge bucket seats, Custom made diamond plate aluminum center console (lockable), CB radio, diamond plate rapped 3/4 around tub. Also included, but not in pics: "Best Top" full top with doors and all, along with towbar to pull her to the next excursion! :-)

I have had this Jeep all over East TN: Winrock, Tellico, Royal Blue, and is a pretty good rockcrawler! Never damaged, rolled, or wrecked...lol....I will leave that to you! lol

Like I said, this Jeep needs a little TLC, but will make a great ride for someone willing and has the time to get her back to top shape. She doesn't need much, but I just don't have the time to devote to her.

Serious inquiries only, please.

Thanks, and have a great day!

Europe gets Jeep Wrangler Polar limited edition

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

Jeep will be bringing an all-new, limited-edition model to the European market called the Wrangler Polar. Based on the Wrangler Sahara and set to make its debut at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Wrangler Polar sports new Hyrdro Blue paint, gloss black 18-inch wheels, a body-color hardtop, and the regular mix of Mopar styling accessories. Billet Silver Metallic and Bright White are available for those that don't dig the glossy blue, while a two-door variant will be available in addition to the four-door pictured above.
The Polar's interior features similar tweaks; Pearl White contrast stitching can be found on both the seats and steering wheel, while ceramic White bezels and other accents give a nice contrasting look to the cabin.
Underhood sits an engine that should make American Wrangler enthusiasts weep - a 2.8-liter, four-cylinder turbodiesel. With 200 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque channeled through a five-speed automatic transmission, the Wrangler Polar should handle itself just fine on normal roads. British buyers will also be able to select the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6. For rougher stuff, Dana axles can be found front and rear (Dana 30 up front and Dana 44 in back), while the Command-Trac four-wheel-drive system and its two-speed transfer case should be enough for when the roads disappear.

These cars are headed to the Great Crusher In The Sky

Fri, 24 Aug 2012

It happens every year. We bid adieu to some cars and trucks that will be missed, and say good riddance to others wondering how they stayed around so long. Whether they're being killed off for slow sales or due to a new product coming along to replace them, the list of vehicles being discontinued after 2012 is surprisingly long and diverse.
CNN Money has compiled a list of departing vehicles, to which we've added a few more of our own. In the slow sales column, cars like the Lexus HS 250h, Mercedes-Benz R-Class and the full Maybach lineup appear, while the Ford Escape Hybrid, Mazda CX-7 and Hyundai Veracruz are all having their gaps filled with more modern and more fuel-efficient alternatives. Obvious exceptions to the rule include models that still sell in decent numbers like the Jeep Liberty and the Chrysler Town & Country (which will eventually be replaced by a crossover-like vehicle).

Jeep Wrangler Copper Crawler is our idea of a restrained Mopar shopping spree

Thu, 07 Nov 2013

According to a recent report, the Jeep Wrangler is the most popular SUV for customization, and this is backed up by the fact that the iconic off-roader was just named the Hottest 4x4-SUV at SEMA for the fourth year in a row. Looking for ways to keep its customers in-house rather than going aftermarket, Jeep and Mopar are always teaming to offer exciting new parts and pieces for the JK Wrangler.
Compared to most other Wranglers on display at SEMA - as well as other Chrysler Mopar SEMA concepts - the Jeep Wrangler Copper Crawler is surprisingly reserved, but should be no less exciting for owners to give their Wrangler a distinctive look. Starting off with an eye-catching copper paint scheme, the Jeep then goes on a Mopar catalog shopping spree with its matte black grille, black beadlock wheels, two-inch lift, Rubicon bumper (with a winch and aero end caps up front) and rocker panel and taillight guards.
Jeep also upgraded the Wrangler's transfer case for low-speed rock crawling (hence the vehicle's name) and cold-air intake for extra measure.
