This jeep is in great shape, and is all original except for the leaf springs and a few other small parts. It has a few scratches hear and there, but over all it is a really nice jeep and I am always complemented on it when I stop for gas. It has original paint, some spots are worn, but it was buffed and shins nicely, I love the look of the paint and so dose everyone else. It has a 6cy with a t-18 4 speed (granny 1st). the only problem is sometimes 4th gear dose not fully dis en-gauge until it is fully en-gauged into 3rd. It has very nice leather seats. the only rust is in the floor boards and it has already been stopped with a black floor liner, it also has a little underneath the gas fill hole, but there is none on the frame or anywhere else. I use it as a second daily driver, it is certainly not a jeep to go drive through creeks with, but with a little effort it could be a great show jeep. I am not the first owner of the jeep. it is located in dallas for local pick up or I could have it shipped to you at your cost when i have receaved payment. with any questions or to get more pics call austin at 214-864-1416

FCA believes thieves aren't getting into Jeeps with laptops
Mon, Jul 11 2016Last week, we reported on an incident where thieves stole a 2010 Jeep Wrangler from an owner's driveway in Houston, TX with nothing but a laptop. While the security footage made it seem like the perpetrator hacked into the vehicle, we had a conversation with FCA's senior manager of security architecture Titus Melnyk who set the record straight. According to Melnyk, the thief in the video isn't using the laptop to get into the vehicle, but rather as a means of coding a blank key fob and then using that fob to get into the Jeep. According to Melnyk, the suspects have gained access to a key programming tool, which allows them to pair blank key fobs to FCA vehicles. With the key fob now coded, the suspects can get into the vehicle and drive away. The thieves, believes Melnyk, have acquired the programming tool through a dishonest dealership or locksmith. Since the suspects are using a process designed to be used (honestly) by dealers, FCA doesn't consider this to be hacking and believes that there are no security flaws in the vehicles. How are the thieves getting key fobs? While Melnyk believes it is possible to recode an existing key fob, he points out that it's much easier to purchase a blank key fob on Ebay for less than $25. Jeep Cherokee won't get diesel until sales of oil-burning Grand Cherokee improve
Tue, 01 Jul 2014Okay Jeep fans, you want more diesel options? Time to step up and prove it. The only way Jeep will offer a diesel powerplant in the Cherokee, according to brand head Mike Manley, is if sales of the Grand Cherokee EcoDiesel nearly double.
Currently, about eight percent of the Grand Cherokees sold feature the 3.0-liter, EcoDiesel V6. That's simply not enough to warrant the bringing an oil-burning Cherokee to the US market, despite the vehicle's presence in Europe, where it's sold with a 2.8-liter diesel V6.
"Cherokee is slightly different because of its weight and size. When I think about bringing Cherokee diesel here, I would like to see Grand Cherokee diesel get much higher than eight percent," Manley told Automotive News. "It would have to be in mid-double digits."
