2004 Jaguar XK8 Convertible 4.2L V8. Bright Silver Exterior, Quality Black Convertible Top-like new condition, Apollo 5-Spoke 19 Inch Aluminum Rims, Leather Interior, Light 'Burl Walnut' trim, Navigation GPS.

This car is in good condition throughout and is a tribute my ownership and the previous owner. The exterior has the Luster of new. The engine and transmission are strong and smooth and all electrical components, including the convertible top operate as they should.

The usual Jaguar refinements are here of course and also to include Factory options: NAVIGATION GPS SYSTEM, HEATED FRONT SEATS, Alpine Premium Sound, Rain Sensing Wipers, Rear Park Control, 12 way power and Memory Seats,Tilt Telescope Steering Wheel. The 19'' factory Apollo wheel option and Xenon headlights option made this just a great looking Jaguar convertible.

This near $80,000.00 when new Jaguar XK8 is the first years of the 300 Horsepower 4.2 V8 mated to a 6 speed ZF transmission which gives more power and better MPG than the previous 4.0 V8. This Jaguar is quick!! 6 seconds to 60mph. Very Smooth during that once in a while Highway Sprint!! Gas mileage is excellent with the 4.2L motor. I recently received 27.2 MPG on a 600 mile road trip.

This car has been inspected by Local Jaguar Dealer, 35 Point Inspection June of this year.
110,000 easy miles on Car. Many trips down to Florida and along East Coast.

Asking $12,500

**Come out and drive this beautiful Jaguar for at least 25 miles to fully appreciate it's condition.

Jaguar to expand Jaguar XKR-S GT production run?

Wed, 10 Apr 2013

According to a report in Autocar, demand for the Jaguar XKR-S GT is such that the English company could nearly double production from 30 to 50 cars. Such inflation can often incense those have already put deposits down, worried that they've both been lied to about the potentially diminished values of their cars, but Jaguar has made the announcement barely a day after the XKR-S GT was revealed and 50 still isn't that many vehicles.
Nothing in the Autocar report indicates the additional examples will not come to America, making the 500-horsepower superfast coupe a treat we can still call all our own. Jaguar didn't add horsepower but instead honed other aspects of the car to produce a GT that can lap the 'Ring nearly as quickly as a Ferrari 458 Italia, and the world should be the beneficiary, the company's brand director saying, "The real beauty of this project has been that it has extended our understanding of the elements involved in making a car go so fast, and that will feed back into all our road car programs." Sounds good to us.

Chris Harris finds the Jaguar F-Type R Coupe rather drifty

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

Our own Matt Davis may have called the new Jaguar F-Type R Coupe "one heady rascal," but our review was disappointingly short on drifting, tire smoke and general, English shenanigans. You know, the sort of things that Chris Harris from Drive excels at.
Actually, relative to Harris' other reviews, this one is rather serious. There's a good recap of the F-Type on the road, with Harris referencing the car's "great bottom" and "amazing ass," quite frequently. Surprisingly, Harris says the more powerful F-Type R is just "incrementally" faster than the 495-horsepower F-Type V8 S Convertible. Following the on-road portion, it's off to the track. You can probably predict what goes on there. Overall, aside from some quibbles, Harris has nothing but praise for the newest cat.

Jaguar envisions future without V8 engines

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

With tighter emissions and fuel economy regulations looming, Jaguar may have to do more than make a small, fuel-efficient hatchback to lower its model range's consumption figures - it also might give up its venerable V8 power, Drive reports. But not anytime soon, says Steven de Ploey, Jaguar's product and marketing director, who recognizes that the V8 can be replaced only by something that offers the same, or better, performance. But he has a word of caution: "We are not wedded to V8s."
In the meantime, de Ploey says there are other ways to reduce emissions. One of the first steps Jaguar could take is to shift away from the use of superchargers, which aren't as good as turbochargers at maintaining efficiency and making power. But he adds that supercharging still is "at the heart of Jaguar's performance proposition," and that the company has addressed the current downsizing trend by "replacing our naturally aspirated V8 with a 3.0-liter supercharged V6."
Consider one of de Ploey's comments on the cancelled C-X75 supercar (pictured) for some clue about Jaguar's future: "Some of the stuff we have already exploited to the extreme in the C-X75 is the kind of thinking for us and is an essential test bed to see how we could evolve from today to something that is sustainable in the future."
