I have up for sale a 1989 Jaguar XJS V-12. I have owned the car for the past 3 years and during this time the car has been repainted and has a fresh tune-up. The V-12 starts easily, runs smooth and transmission shifts as it should. New parts include: tires, center console trim, new power steering gasket, rebuilt rack and pinion steering, new front brake pads, upholstered front seat bottoms, floormats, headliner and battery. The car is a very solid driver that turns heads everywhere it goes. The bumper has a couple of pinhead rust spots, the rear seat bottom stitching is coming loose in a few areas.
Overall, car runs and drives smoothly and will make someone a classy ride for not much of an investment. These cars continue to increase in value annually. I am not selling out of desperation, I just need the room in my garage. Please look over the pictures and if you have any questions then contact me directly. 2016 Jaguar XE pounces on the Parisian port
Thu, 02 Oct 2014It's been about five years since Jaguar discontinued the misguided X-Type and exited the compact luxury sedan market, but today marks the British automaker's re-entry into the segment with the public debut of the all-new XE.
Pitted against the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the new Jaguar XE is based on an all-new aluminum architecture that will underpin many new felines to follow, and packs a new family of four-cylinder engines. That is, aside from the range-topping XE S pictured above, with the super-six borrowed from the F-Type.
Conservatively styled but elegant and uniquely Jaguar, the XE isn't set to arrive Stateside until 2016. So unless you're planning a trip overseas (with a stop at a Jaguar showroom on the itinerary), our gallery of live shots from the floor of the Paris Motor Show here at the Porte de Versailles may be the best look you'll be getting at Coventry's latest for the next couple of years.
Jaguar-based Eagle E-Type Low Drag GT makes its bid for most beautiful car ever with EVO
Fri, 28 Feb 2014The Jaguar E-Type is one of the icons of automotive design, and British company Eagle has made a business out of restoring, upgrading and building their bespoke versions for the last 30 years. It does for the E-Type what Singer does for the Porsche 911 - takes an already great classic car and updates its mechanicals for the modern age.
The firm's latest creation, the Low Drag GT, might be its greatest ever, at least according to editor Henry Catchpole in Evo magazine's latest video. The car takes its inspiration from a trio of low-drag E-Type coupes built in the 1960s, but thoroughly modernizes the concept. The engine is based on Jag's inline-six, but made from aluminum and bored out to 4.7 liters to produce 346 horsepower and 360 pound-feet of torque. Catchpole says it's enough to propel it to 60 miles per hour in about 4.5 seconds. The body, transmission and differential are all also made from aluminum to cut the weight to 2,288 pounds, and modern upgrades include Ohlins dampers, AP Racing brakes and even extras like concealed GPS navigation and an Alcantara headliner. There's more head- and legroom than the originals, too.
Each car is built bespoke for each buyer, so prices vary, but Catchpole says the one he is in would run about half the cost of a LaFerrari - around $700,000.
