All new hoses (even the heater hoses under the super charger) Upgraded rebuilt ported 5th gen Eaton Super charger from 2004+ XJR (more efficient with better bearings) Power output a little higher than the 370 HP stock 3rd gen supercharger. Upgraded Primary and Secondary timing chain tensioners, new lower pulley & Bolt Radiator flush with new Jaguar coolant. Charge coolers flushed and cleaned. 010 Bosch inter cooler pump upgrade. New EBC slotted front rotors, new Akebono dustless ceramic pads in all 4 corners Stainless steel brake lines upgrade in all 4 corners, ABS solder fix, new Dot 4 fluid New Bridgestone RE760 18” tires. Asteroid wheels, 3 flawless and one #@%& curb mark (see photo). Fresh 4 wheel alignment 5w30 Royal purple synthetic oil, new spark plugs, new water pump, new serpentine belt tensioner Flawless interior except for small amount of rear headliner sagging. Looks like it has never been sat in. All leather well maintained with proper moisturizers, like new, still soft. California car has lived it’s entire life covered in the garage, never stored outside. I’m happy to answer questions, but all potential buyers must have cash in hand for test drive, no exceptions. Driver's license will be verified with Police before test drive. There will be no joy rides. If you are not familiar with XJRs or are not yet ready to purchase, please do not inquire. I will ship cross country if needed. You will never find a cleaner, better cared for 2000 Jaguar XJR. All electronics work perfectly. Everything works. No leaks of any kind. Spots on driveway are from 1989 Toyota van in background with 280K miles.
There are a few small cosmetic flaws which are pointed out in photos: a few door dings in driver rear door (these will come out with a paintless dent removal), and one small nickel size dent which will need fixing and touch up, also shown in photo of passenger front of car. The headliner has a small amount of sagging. There are zero scratches or stains in the interior and/or burl, no cracks in burl. This car has lived a very pampered life in California garages. Currently in Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.
This is definitely a high blue book car. Blue book says $9700, so I'm selling it for $9,700 cash. No offers will be considered. This will likely be sold to the first person who recognizes what a deal this is. |

Exploring Romania's storied Transfagarasan Highway in a Jaguar F-Type V8 S

When it declares a road the best in the world, like it did with Romania's Transfagarasan Highway during its 14th season, you can't blame people for showing up and wanting to check it out. Of course, then the road becomes clogged with tourists and is less fun to drive.
But is it possible that there is an even better driving road in Romania? One that is higher, smoother and undiscovered by tourists - at least not yet? Henry Catchpole from Evo thinks that he may have found it while driving a Jaguar F-Type V8 S that makes a sound that evokes a World War II British fighter plane.

Fri, 01 Mar 2013Rumors of an entry-level, BMW 3 Series-fighting Jaguar sedan have been floating around for quite some time, but thanks to our intrepid spy photographers, we now have visible proof that such a model is, in fact, in the works.
Despite this tester's XF fittings, it's clear that what lies beneath is an entirely different beast. The doors have been shortened, roofline adjusted, rear deck lopped off and exhaust replaced, giving us a better idea of the new sedan's smaller dimensions and details. The new Jag, which may be dubbed "XS," is expected to ride on Jaguar's PLA (Premium Lightweight Architecture) platform, touting weight-saving materials that should do a lot to keep overall heft to a minimum. Both turbocharged four- and supercharged six-cylinder powertrains are expected to be on tap.
Codenamed X760, the new small sedan will reportedly hit the market in 2015. Earlier reports have indicated that a new crossover - Jag's first ever - riding on the same platform will arrive shortly thereafter, so that suggests that the platform will be fitted with all-wheel drive as well.
Say goodbye to Jaguar's vestigial oval grille
Tue, 10 Dec 2013Jaguar has been on a campaign to replace any and all retro cues with modern ones. Just look at the current XJ and the one it replaced, or the XF and the S-Type that came before it and you'll know what we mean. The one remnant is the XK and its oval grille, in and of itself a throwback to Jags of old (which started to look more like a certain Star Wars alien in above-pictured XKR-S form). But don't expect it to hang around.
Newer Jaguars have been ditching the oval aperture for a more squared-off one, and the next XK will have to fall in line. But don't expect that to be the only change in store for the next-generation Jaguar coupe and convertible.
With the new F-Type now holding the more enthusiast-oriented ground, the next XK is expected to grow bigger, softer and more luxurious. That will likely mean a more commodious back seat as well, though that shouldn't be hard to do considering the lack of space in the back of the current model...
