1994 Jaguar XJ6 with only 117,502 miles. The body is in very good condition, the interior is in good shape as well for its age. It has the usual cracking of the leather on the seats, the wood inserts on the door panels are cracked but I have another set of door panels with good inserts which go with the car. It has the Jag motor, not the ford motor. It isn't getting fire to crank, it turns over to crank but doesn't get fire, I am told it needs to be converted to electronic ignition instead of points and coil. This car has 2 catalytic converters, the value of the converters alone is over $900.00, the rims are around $500.00, and the 6 door panels are around $300.00. So if you only wanted to part it out you could probably triple your money or more. It is a good driving and riding car, once you get the cranking issue fixed. The electronic ignition module to switch it over costs around $75.00 and there is a YouTube video that shows how to do it. It is a easy fix for anyone mechanically inclined. Any questions please contact me via ebay.

Lapping Le Mans with 1956's version of a dash cam
Wed, 01 May 2013Mike Hawthorne and Ivor Bueb won The 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1955 driving a Jaguar D-Type. The following year, a few days before the race, a British broadcaster put cameras on Hawthorne's car, hung a mic from a plate on his race suit and had him narrate a lap of the Circuit de la Sarthe.
It is compelling viewing. A new pit complex was built after the massive accident on the front straight in 1955, but this was still a time when crews prepped for the race on roads that were open to the public. Hawthorne's lap includes maneuvers to avoid bicyclists and cars, and gems like letting us know that doing 185 miles per hour down the Mulsanne Straight was where you could "relax a little, recover your energy." Watch him work it like the men of old in the video below.
2016 Jaguar XE pounces on the Parisian port
Thu, 02 Oct 2014It's been about five years since Jaguar discontinued the misguided X-Type and exited the compact luxury sedan market, but today marks the British automaker's re-entry into the segment with the public debut of the all-new XE.
Pitted against the likes of the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the new Jaguar XE is based on an all-new aluminum architecture that will underpin many new felines to follow, and packs a new family of four-cylinder engines. That is, aside from the range-topping XE S pictured above, with the super-six borrowed from the F-Type.
Conservatively styled but elegant and uniquely Jaguar, the XE isn't set to arrive Stateside until 2016. So unless you're planning a trip overseas (with a stop at a Jaguar showroom on the itinerary), our gallery of live shots from the floor of the Paris Motor Show here at the Porte de Versailles may be the best look you'll be getting at Coventry's latest for the next couple of years.
