1977 Jaguar Xj6 C Coupe 2-door 4.2l on 2040-cars
Morgan Hill, California, United States
3 owner car, last owner had her since 1984, I am no the 3rd.
Rea-built engine and tranny in 1990 Nardi Steering wheel. worth around 600 Rebuilt carbs in june. Tuned idle. replaced aux water tank. Does not overheat. Passed CA Smog back in June. now the paint story is fun. There are spots that have been touched up for piant back in 2000. The whole car was repainted in 1993. besides the missing white spots in really needs a good buffing. I have an extra grill, the manual choke conversion. If you want to replace the water chokes. The A/C compressor froze, easy to replace from a pickn pull from an xjs or xj6. Just a GM A6. Most parts that I have not replaced that were i need of replacement are the original. The back seat need to be replaced, as for the fronts they can be reconditioned. This was going to be my big restoration. IT doesn't need that much love to make it perfect again. I have Zero problems driving anywhere. Just start up and take of to anywhere. I would like it to go to somebody to care and make her pretty again. These cars are getting pretty rare and some have been changed to Chevy V8s takes out the jag soul!! If shipping needed buyer will provide. Video http://youtu.be/grh0FyrlmF4 |

Jaguar XE spied flying over London
Mon, 08 Sep 2014We only have a few hours to wait before Jaguar finally, and fully, unveils its oft-teased XE sedan. But the Internet is no respecter of secrets, as these very last-minute spy shots make clear.
Presumably being airlifted to its spectacular debut location near Earl's Court in London, the BMW 3-Series-fighting XE was captured mid-flight, and completely undisguised.
The images are understandably a bit blurry, but they do confirm that DNA from the current Jag lineup is transitioning nicely to the new small luxury sedan. The XE shows a stance typical of the brand, with a relatively short rear overhang, and big, boldly styled wheels. The bluff front end is reminiscent of if the XF and XJ, and, as we know from earlier teasers, will wear a "growler" logo over a black grille.
Jaguar Land Rover creates new Special Operations division for halo vehicles, bespoke commissions
Fri, 13 Jun 2014Jaguar Land Rover has announced that a new division of the British manufacturer will be dedicated to "bespoke commissions," as well as heritage products and apparel. Oh, and the new Special Operations division will also be behind JLR's halo cars from now on.
It's that last one that is the most tantalizing, as the last real halo product to see production from Jaguar was the XJ220. The Range Rover, meanwhile, has always had its own kind of halo reputation, although the Land Rover brand itself has never really gotten into the game with a dedicated model.
According to JLR, the new halo models will focus on ultra-high performance and luxury with a limited run of vehicles. The bespoke models, meanwhile, will give the wealthiest customers full sway over how vehicles are outfitted, with unique paints, trims and other accessories. The new SpecOps division will be run by John Edwards.
Watch the Chevy Corvette dismiss its Euro rivals at the hands of a Brit magazine
Sat, 08 Feb 2014European auto writers, especially the British, have a bit of a reputation for favoring their own domestic cars over foreign rivals in comparison tests. Just think about how many times you've heard Jeremy Clarkson deify the latest product of UK loins while denigrating an American rival as a hopeless "Yank Tank." However, we have to tip our hats to the folks at Autocar because in its latest video comparing the 2014 Corvette Stingray to the Porsche 911, Jaguar F-Type V8 S and Audi R8, it's actually given the Vette a fair shake.
Autocar has put the Stingray through a battery of tests against what it considers to be the three best sports cars on sale in Europe today. And while the tests that it has chosen are somewhat random and subjective, it has concluded that the C7 can stand up against its rivals, even irrespective of its price. It's one thing to hear about how great the Stingray is from American writers, but it's great to know that not all Brits think we've gone crazy for calling the new Chevrolet "exquisite."
